The Designer
About Thomas Rauscher
TpunktR can best be described by its aim: designing means developing and altering things we know or use. But it also means creating things we do not know or use. From both perspectives the initial spark to do so is the will of grasping the world and the things that surround us not as finished or determined by trends, but more as a state, that alters continuously. Hence the main aim of TpunktR is innovation, increasing the amount of choices apart from the known.
Thomas Rauscher is a highly esteemed laureate of the A' Design Award & Competition in Furniture. With the Silver A' Design Award, the jury of the A' Design Award & Competition recognized the work of Thomas Rauscher. In the competition, Thomas Rauscher entered anonymously, and an international grand jury panel of established academics, design professionals and press members decided by blind peer review.
The award was granted in the 2016 - 2017 edition of the A' Design Award & Competition. Within the World Design Rating, Thomas Rauscher carries the title Forthcoming Professional. Designers.org lists Thomas Rauscher among the award-winning creators of Germany.
