Emmanouela Kakavia

Emmanοuela Kakavia has many years of experience in illustrating children’s books and creating pαper worlds. She draws inspiration from ancient culture but she is open to her surroundings, trying to find inspiration in the character of the place she is exhibiting in.
Her working method consists of pencil with final artwork rendered using watercolour. Images are completed digitally, using Photoshop to compose the elements and adjust the colors. without losing the handcrafted texture.

The creative work of Emmanouela Kakavia has been celebrated by the prestigious A' Design Award in Graphic. With the A' Design Award, the jury of the A' Design Award & Competition recognized the work of Emmanouela Kakavia. The verdict on the work of Emmanouela Kakavia came from an international grand jury panel of established academics, design professionals and journalists, who scored anonymized entries against predetermined criteria.

The 2018 - 2019 edition of the A' Design Award & Competition brought the recognition to Emmanouela Kakavia. The achievements of Emmanouela Kakavia earned the World Design Rating title Forthcoming Practitioner. Designers.org lists Emmanouela Kakavia among the award-winning creators of Greece.
