About Dragon Primær funktion: Indretningsdesign af restaurant
Dragon er en restaurantindretning beliggende i en kontorbygning for finansteknologi i Beijing. Designet dækker 2500 kvadratmeter og søger en rolig atmosfære baseret på naturlige elementer. En væsentlig udfordring var, at 80 procent af spiseområdet ligger under jorden og ikke modtager noget naturligt lys. Naturen simuleres derfor. Et vandfald og et bassin er formet i støbt beton med digital teknologi, og ællinger af kobber synes at svømme på overfladen. De private spisesale minder om formen af en dal, med planter og årstider, og simuleret lys understøtter disse lukkede områder.

- Unique Properties
- The Dragon Restaurant is located in the Financial Tech office building. A relaxing restaurant atmosphere with natural elements is sought. One of challenges is that 80% of the dining space is located underground and therefore there is no natural light. There is a balance between Financial Tech and nature.

- Inspiration
- Nature is simulated: one by casting a "waterfall" and "pool" via digital tech. Some copper ducklings even "swim" on this cast installation. Because of the long cold winters, outdoor-waterscapes are not suitable in Beijing, but people love water features. Another simulation is to imitate the shape of a valley and various plants and different seasons in the private dining rooms which are without windows and natural light.
