Rockefeller Rock Crystal Diamond ist ein Edelschmuck-Ring aus 14 Karat Gelbgold. Der Ring ist mit einem individuell im Trillantschliff gefertigten natürlichen Bergkristall von 9 Millimetern besetzt. Ein dreieckiges Metallelement, das mit kleinen, im Pavé gefassten Naturdiamanten besetzt ist, wird auf der Oberseite des Bergkristalls befestigt und erinnert an ein Schild. Eine präzise Vermessung ist erforderlich, damit das Metallelement exakt auf die Oberfläche des Edelsteins passt; dort werden feine Bohrungen eingebracht, um die beiden Teile miteinander zu verbinden. Der Entwurf ist vom markanten Charakter New York Citys inspiriert. Der Ring kann getragen oder als Sammlerstück aufbewahrt werden.

- Unique Properties
- This ring is made in 14K yellow gold and features a custom cut trillion cut natural rock crystal. A triangle piece filled with tiny pave diamonds is affixed onto the rock crystal, almost looking like a diamond shield. Measurements have to be precise in order for the top metal shield to fit the surface of the rock crystal.

- Production Technology
- First a ring setting was drawn on paper and transferred to the computer to create a computer model. The design was then casted and a raw rock crystal was cut to fit the setting. The top surface of the rock crystal was measured in order to create the top metal piece filled with diamonds.
Once the diamonds are set, the top piece is affixed to the rock crystal by drilling holes on the surface of the gemstone. The rock crystal and the metal piece is then joined together. - Design Challenge

- This design is inspired by the bold characteristics of New York City. Like the city, this ring portrays courage, love and vulnerability. Rock crystal is used as its name represent the "rock" city of New York- buildings cover the whole city.
