About Lagos Esstisch

Lagos ist ein Esstisch, der für Esszimmer und andere Gemeinschaftsbereiche konzipiert wurde. Der Entwurf setzt auf klare Linien und klar definierte geometrische Formen für ein minimalistisches Erscheinungsbild. Das hölzerne Untergestell besitzt eine strukturierte Oberfläche, die an Zement erinnert und so natürliche mit urbanen Bezügen verbindet. Die Form des Untergestells kann variieren – von traditionellen Konstruktionen bis hin zu stärker skulpturalen Interpretationen. Der Tisch misst 310 Zentimeter in der Breite, 80 Zentimeter in der Höhe und 120 Zentimeter in der Tiefe und bietet damit reichlich Platz für Gäste. Zertifiziertes Holz sowie Metall- und Betonoberflächen unterstützen die Langlebigkeit im täglichen Gebrauch.

Design Challenge: One of the main challenges was finding a perfect balance between the desired aesthetics and functionality. Leite wanted to create a table that was not only beautiful but also practical for everyday use. The design of the base, for example, needed to be visually interesting without compromising the stability of the table. To overcome this obstacle, several prototypes and stability tests were necessary, which led to adjustments in the proportions and materials used.
Research: The design research of Victor Leite's Lagos table began with the analysis of the needs of users and market trends. Inspired by natural landscapes, Leite sketched several ideas, exploring shapes and materials. With prototypes, stability and functionality were tested, adjusting details as needed. The choice of materials, such as wood and metal, and the use of laser cutting technology have ensured a final product that combines aesthetics and durability, creating a functional and elegant piece.
Inspiration: The Lagos Dining Table was inspired by the desire to blend natural elements with modern design. Its wooden base, featuring a textured finish reminiscent of cement, strikes a balance between nature and urban aesthetics. Designed for both style and functionality, it provides ample space and comfort for guests, making it ideal for those who seek a distinctive touch of elegance and practicality in their dining space.
