About Breathing Apple Kunstmöbel-Installation

Breathing Apple ist eine Kunstinstallation, die gleichzeitig als Sitzmöbel dient. Die Form bewahrt die Silhouette eines Apfels, ergänzt durch unregelmäßige Eindellungen, die einen durch Druck neu geformten Körper andeuten. Das Einsinken und Zurückfedern der Oberfläche bringt die Idee des Atmens und der inneren Wiederbelebung zum Ausdruck. Das Objekt ist von Hand aus Lederresten genäht, die in Fabriken als Abfall anfallen. Natürliche Farbunterschiede, sichtbare Nahtlinien und unbeschnittene Kanten erzeugen eine warme, haptisch ansprechende Textur. Die Ergonomie bestimmt den Verlauf der Kurven, sodass die Arbeit als Ausstellungskunst präsentiert oder als alltägliche Sitzgelegenheit genutzt werden kann.

Project Duration: This product was designed on 2022/11/1 and completed with final design in 2024
Operation Flow: Each piece of leather in the Breathing Apple is carefully selected, paired, and sewn together by the designer, reflecting the craft and warmth of the maker. The result is a tactile fruit of life with beautiful curves and textures that invite touch. The design avoids mechanical cutting, leaving the leather’s natural edges intact, highlighting the idea that imperfections are what make it unique.
