About Linking Stool Kindersitzmöbel

Der Linking Stool ist ein lehnenloser Sitz, der für den Einsatz im Kindergarten konzipiert wurde. Die Sitzfläche ist rund, besteht aus Teakholz und misst 400 mal 245 mal 230 Millimeter. Eine Verbindungsplatte und eine Kopplungsachse werden in Bohrungen im Sitz eingesetzt, sodass mehrere Elemente schnell zusammengefügt oder wieder getrennt werden können. Inspiriert wurde das Verbindungssystem von einer Fahrradkette. Zusammengefügte Sitze ermöglichen es Kindern, dicht beieinander zu sitzen und um eine Erzieherin herum zu spielen. Zudem sorgt der Entwurf für eine geordnete statt verstreute Sitzanordnung und erleichtert die Beaufsichtigung von Gruppenaktivitäten.

Unique Properties: The children in the kindergarten can touch the collective life since childhood, and kindergarten is the happy world of children. Linking Stool is designed according to the daily activities of the kindergarten, and Linking Stool has a round shape, especially the function to Linking Stool the stools with each other. Children can arbitrarily link the stools together, get close to each other, or play games around teachers, which is a process that children want.

Design Challenge: The smoothness and precision of the wood.
Research: 1. Most kindergarten stool are used as independent furniture. As there are many children in kindergartens, the benches are placed in a scattered way.
2. The original kindergarten stool structure is relatively simple, which cannot meet the different needs in the process of kindergarten educational activities.
Inspiration: I observed that when the kindergarten teacher played games with the children, the children often gathered around the teacher. I was inspired by the chain of the bicycle and wanted to design a kindergarten bench that could be Linked or disassembled quickly, so the Linking Stool came into being. At the same time, Linking Stool allows more kids to be more intimate and learn to share based on the combination.
Project Duration: The project started in April 2018 in Tianjin and finished in August 2018 in that place, and was exhibited in Shantou in September 2018.
