About Persian Peacock Ring Cocktailring

Der Persian Peacock Ring ist ein Cocktailring für Damen. Inspiriert wurde der Entwurf vom Pfau, der in der persischen Mythologie ein Symbol für das Paradies, Königswürde, Adel und Schönheit ist. Organische und dynamische Formen werden mit unterschiedlichen Metallfarben und Edelsteinen kombiniert. Smaragd und Saphir stehen in Grün und Blau für das Federkleid des Pfaus. Der Ring wurde mit einer dreidimensionalen Software modelliert, in Wachs gedruckt und direkt in drei Teilen gegossen. Die Edelsteine sind in Mikro-Fasstechnik eingesetzt. Der obere Teil des Kopfes und die Augen sind mit Gelbgold plattiert.

Unique Properties: Using organic and dynamic forms in the design. Combining different elements and shapes in design with different metal colour and gemstones.
Dimensions & Packaging: Width and length of the piece from the top view are about 42mm.
Its weight is about 35 grams in sterling silver.

Production Technology: Different software packages used for designing and 3D-modelling the ring. Then, it 3D-printed in wax and direct cast in three parts.
Finally, gemstones set on Hero ring by using Micro-setting technique. Top of the head and eyes plated in yellow gold.
Design Challenge: Making a big cocktail ring in all steps is challenging. Making the high detailed and producible design on the computer, casting and mounting this piece was part of the challenge.
Research: Researching about the symbolic meaning of the peacock is Persian mythology.
Inspiration: Persian peacock ring inspired by the peacock. In Persian mythology, the peacock is a symbol of paradise, regality, nobility and beauty.
Project Duration: The project started in April 2019 and finished in May 2019.
Operation Flow: Using 3d modelling software packages and 3d-printing technology could help to achieve an accurate and high detailed design.
