More About Sunrise Installation Light

Sunrise is an installation light designed for interior spaces. The form is inspired by the sunrise and its rays. Crystals and colored glasses are cut and stacked in three dimensions on the surface. Each piece is made by hand by an Iranian craftsman. The color combinations can be varied to suit the style of the interior decoration. The angle of the light follows ergonomic standards and gives a wider and better diffusion. The diameter is 1800 mm and the height is 500 mm. The work was designed and produced in Tehran in November 2021.

About Abbas Sufi Nejad

Abbas Sufinejad was born in 1977 in Tehran. Having graduated from the National Talent Development Organization (SAMPAD), he entered the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Tehran Azad University in 1996, and then in 2001, continued his studies in the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Azad University of Tehran, majoring in architecture. He holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Art Philosophy from Malaysia. His academic career started in 2006 when he established the Department of Interior Design and Architecture at a private College. He has been an architecture-and-interior-design expert presenter in various television and radio programs.

Design Details

Unique Properties: The combination of its color and material gives a unique personality wherever it is placed. It is available in a different contrasting color mixture associated with the style of interior decoration. They are all handmade. The placement angle of the light has been designed with regard to ergonomic standards in a way that it provides a better and wider diffusion and illumination.
Inspiration: The design of the project is inspired by the sunrise with its glorious rays which refreshes the soul and enables you to see beauty in all you behold. It fulfills users' emotions and awards more value to their emotional impulses.
Research: I have always tried to design something unique and meaningful. Obviously, there are many ideas behind each design, which is no different. Many sketches have been done to simplify the complicated forms besides protecting its modern style and making an emotional connection between the project and the users by design.
Challenge: The main challenge was to generate for the users a game of 3D visualization of colorful tiny patterns, crystals, and mirrors and meet the modern market demand for counters in various forms of protective symbols, transforming the writing lines into the object with the same emotion, joining performance and aesthetics besides of emotional connection between the object and the users.
Realization and Technology: It has been made with crystals and colorful glasses which are all cut and stacked in 3D on it.
Operation and Interaction: This artwork has been made entirely by hand of a professional Iranian craftsman. It is available in a variable combination of colors as clients wish. This project is designed to encourage the sense of thinking, reasoning full of emotions and positive energy and not simply disregarding the events and the world around.
