More About Stamatakis Bakery Rebranding

A lithograph of the authentic recipes and memories of a home. When the most beloved baked goods meet the tradition, the mystagogue of taste and the ritual of pleasure, what comes to mind is always a feminine figure. The authentic flavors of Eugenia, bringing emotional memories, the artisanal recipes of tradition! Eugenia is like a lithograph, never the same, never taken out of a mold. There are no molds for Eugenia because she is the resemblance of the mother.

Design Details

Unique Properties
Eugenia is like a lithograph, never the same, never taken out of a mold. There are no molds for Eugenia because she is our mother. The one who -through the mystagogy of taste and the ritual of pleasure- gave birth to creation. The one that brings all the memories of our home. The creator.
Inspiration
It started with a blessing. The touch of a ritualistic stamp that Eugenia used to put on top of her breads, just before putting them in the oven. It is truly a blessing to be a creator, to be able to offer. And she loved taking care of others. Her red hair, intricately made every day. She was never careless, her liveliness and her red bow, trademarks. If she was a piece of nature, she would be the cobs rustling in the wind.
Research
There was no research for this project
Challenge
The aim was to create the logo and packaging design for the Stamataki bakery. The challenge was to capture in an original way, the tradition of a company with successful recipes that were passed down from generation to generation. Due to the nature of the business, the target audience cannot be specified in a specific way.
Realization and Technology
The range of packages created using the technic of engraving. The main heroine is Evgenia, mother of the owners of the bakery. The range of packages include boxes in several sizes. Coffee cups, bags, napkins and more.
Operation and Interaction
All the bows used, are from recycled material. The bows are from paper scraps, taken from the original packaging when cut for production. Instead of throwing away the leftover papers, we are reusing them as a final touch. The packaging only uses black ink and the bows red pantone color, resulting in fewer use of ink.
Project Duration and Location
he project started in May 2020 in Athens and finished in October 2021 in Athens, and was exhibited in Crete in June 2021.
