Design Details
- Unique Properties
- Insinuations Art-to-Wear strikes a balance between a piece with artistic and conceptual value and, at the same time, one that is also functional and usable. Insinuations Art-to-Wear strikes a balance between a piece with artistic and conceptual value and, at the same time, one that is also functional and usable. As a designer, I strive to create an intimate connection between each piece and the wearer. Through meticulous design, I achieve the ideal morphology that sensually flows and spills over the body, creating a unique and personal experience for each individual.
- Inspiration
- Insinuations Art-to-Wear is born from encounter the depths of intimacy. The sensuality of shapes arouses curiosity, provokes and invites us to perceive them. How far do we allow ourselves to explore our own sensitivity? Insinuations Art-to-Wear sparks questions about the use and perception that humans have of their physical space, their personal privacy, and how and with whom they share it. It highlights the need for intimacy, which is not limited to sexual intimacy but also encompasses closeness and emotional connection.
- Research
- My work focuses on creating pieces with a minimalist and pure aesthetic, using clean forms and neutral materials to highlight the form. I strive to tell an idea through the minimum expression. I try to save resources and reduce them as much as possible to focus on purely formal issues. I use materials in the most neutral and precise way possible to generate immaculate surfaces. I like to make use of abstraction and reduction to suggest an idea without completely defining it, and in doing so, I offer the viewer a sense of doubt that can sometimes lead to complicity or curiosity, but also uncertainty.
- Challenge
- The design, created in a parametric way through 3D programs, challenged the production to realize all the details to achieve the perfect final result. The relationship with the proffesionals in charge of production is very important. Maintaining respectful and assertive communication when planting and launching the project is key to get an optimal final product. Each piece is handcrafted in silver and polished to perfection, thus making a unique piece with a surreal image.
- Realization and Technology
- As an independent art-to-wear designer, I focus on designing and producing unique and high-quality jewelry. Each piece is made by hand by expert manufacturers. Jewelry craftsmanship is a skill that takes many years to perfect, and care, patience and passion are essential in every step of our process. It is a enormous satisfaction to merge my profession as an Industrial Designer with an ancient trade, such as goldsmithing, to create these pieces that I call "Art to Wear", which finds the balance between a piece with artistic and conceptual value and, at the same time, functional and usable.
- Operation and Interaction
- Each piece is meticulously designes and crafted to achieve the perfect morphology that slides and spills softly on the body, creating a unique and sensual experience for the wearer.
- Project Duration and Location
- In 2016, I created Insinuations, a contemporary jewelry line, as a result of my university work. The line quickly gained recognition beyond the academic sphere. In 2018 and 2019, my work was selected to be exhibited at Schmuck, one of the world's most prominent international fairs for jewelry. I was also a notable finalist for the Metropolitan Design Center Award and received two Creation Grants from the National Fund for the Arts in 2018 and 2021. In addition, I received the Good Argentine Design Hallmark recognition in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
