Unique Properties
The consulate-turned-villa conversion project is an innovative design that combines architectural aesthetics and functionality. The project aims to transform the building into modern living spaces while preserving its original character. Among the features of this design, sustainable material use and energy efficiency are at the forefront. Innovations such as integrating open spaces, maximum use of natural light and optimizing indoor flow distinguish this project from others.
Inspiration
The preservation of cultural heritage and the integration of modern life are prioritized. The project aims to combine the architectural features of the past with the functionality of the future. My motivation is a passion for creating sustainable structures; This is an approach to energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. My technical background is based on a solid background in architecture and environmental design, using innovative materials and developing smart design solutions.
Research
Research Type: Design-focused transformation research. Research Objectives: To increase comfort and functionality while preserving historical values by transforming an old consulate building into a modern villa. Methodology: Along with historical and structural analysis, modern design principles were applied to make modifications to the existing structure. Data Collection and Tools: Data obtained from previous projects, architectural plans, interior analysis, and user feedback were used. Additionally, computer-aided design (CAD) software and 3D modeling tools were used. Participants or Experiments: The project team consisted of architects, interior designers and engineers.
Challenge
The biggest challenge in this project was to provide modern comfort and functionality while preserving the authenticity of the historical building. From a historical and social perspective, it was necessary to take into account the cultural values of the building. Technically, the structural limitations of the existing structure and the incompatibility of the old materials were major obstacles. Additionally, complying with local laws and regulations and integrating modern technologies and access to information were also challenging.
Realization and Technology
Our consulate-to-villa transformation project is carried out using modern materials and production technologies. The project was strategically planned with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and highly insulated materials were preferred to increase energy efficiency. Comfort is increased with acoustically optimized panels in the interior. The detailing process was accelerated with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, and the prototype stages were supported with 3D printing techniques. These methods ensure that the project is evaluated at the highest level in terms of both aesthetics and functionality.
Operation and Interaction
The consulate-to-villa conversion project involves transforming an old consulate building into a modern and comfortable villa. The interior of the old building is renovated, modern design elements are added and the exterior is tidied up. In this process, historical features are preserved, but the living space is adapted to modern needs. As a result, the building combines modern comfort, resulting in a perfect living space, both aesthetically and functionally.
