The original building has an unalterable structure, retaining the original building's external wall as the main wall of the space, abandoning the rules and regulations, and seeking the true space state in the mutual response. Zhiyong Bai, born on August 24, 1982, worked for 13 years. In 2018, he established Shishu Design Co., Ltd. and served as design director. engaged in design research on private houses, villas, commercial spaces, office spaces, and renovation of old buildings. - Conformity is the concept of this space. It is like a poem. It is not qualitative at first, conforming to the original,improvisation. The original building is a addition to the typical Minnan style Fanzi Building with a history of five or sixty years. It has an unalterable architectural structure. Turned it into a private studio and kept the main building exterior wall as the main wall of the space. In line with the building.
- Inspiration
- Respect the history and space of old buildings and want to give them new life, hoping to have a new attitude to continue their use.
- Research
- The re-engineering of the old building space, how to preserve history, and to give new life is the key to the study. It is a new attempt to make the materials simple and the process to be natural.
- Challenge
- The hardest part is the planning of space, how to achieve all the functions you want in a small space, then how to preserve the historical legacy of the original building, combine it with it, and let this case reach historical continuation and rebirth.
