Designer of the Day Interview

20 May 2022

I was born in Taiwan and lived in Argentina for 15 years. Now I am living in Taiwan. These experiences make my design contain different kind of country culture and more multi-variant.

I have loved drawing since I was a kid, enthusiasm for painting and have strong feeling of natural beauty. Observing nature changed grain, color, temperature, and variation of light-shadow by season is what I like. when I get into painting, I always neglect hustle and bustle around me. I know one day I will become a designer because it is my dream.

My style is diversification but also stable. I will change my style base on the case. Good designers should not limit themselves, but open the mind to take challenges.

When I am designing, I always think about how to make my design more funny and close to spirit. Passing though challenges makes my design with more personal style.

Design is a lengthy and lonely road. I often face challenges and painfulness. This experience makes me grow up, it is a necessary course which every design should have. The bitter process leads to the sweet fruits.

Design is a lengthy and lonely road. I often face challenges and painfulness. This experience makes me grow up, it is a necessary course which every design should have. The bitter process leads to the sweet fruits.

Continue to take on challenges and never limit yourself. The most important thing is to be enthusiastic.

A great designer has heavy duties of society and environment. An excellent technique can treat nature well and a great idea is the best social education.

I always take my kids to school at 7 o’clock then start to work at 9 o’clock. After a busy period, I will get off work and take kids back home. Enjoy a happiness time with my family.

Nowadays, science and technology become more and more flourishing and everything change so fast. This phenomenon makes design difficult to predict. I believe design will include all domains in the future and brand a new type of design.

Communicate with customer is the basic part for successful design. After fully realizing what customer wants, we will vitalize design with style and it will become a perfect opus.

A good design is through continuous communication and adjustment, the initial first has the general direction and pattern, style set, and then step by step to plan the more detailed part of the painting, and in each discussion, there will be new ideas injected into it, and make the design more complete, then the entire design will be 3D rendering simulation, and then with my original mind of the picture mutual proof. At this point this design is complete.

I think my proudest work is 111, a combination of home and studio. I hope to use this project to convey some message, in the conflict of building materials, make high contrast style mixed soft paving, in the metropolitan area to adopt energy-saving design, these are the main challenges of this project, but also for the innovation of industrial law, so that I encountered a lot of challenges in the construction, and when the case was completed, I was so proud, and now I am also planning a primary school for the aborigines in the mountains, hoping to integrate the Aboriginal culture and language into my design, I hope to complete his design.

Carlos Páez Vilaro from Paraguay is the one who influence me the most. As an artist and designer, he perfectly makes aesthetics in harmony with nature. This is also my goal.

I was born in Taiwan and lived in Argentina for 15 years. Now I am living in Taiwan. These experiences make my design contain different kind of country culture and more multi-variant.

Everyone is on a boat. We work hard together and go forward together.

I will be better able to use my own knowledge to come back to social, and pass my experience on people who endeavor in the field of design.

By submitting my design to an international design competition, I want to enhance my abilities, and to push my design to the international.

2 July 2025 · Quiet Contemplation Residential

Looking back on nature and humanity, the living environment oriented to leisure and comfort, abandoning too many decorative elements, and using the wabi-sabi style advocated by the owner to describe the simple and natural living atmosphere. In the delicate vocabulary, the simple outline of pure freehand is outlined, slowing down the compact pace in the city, allowing people to taste the quiet time between light and shadow, and enjoy the inner peace of mind

The design of this project centers on a return to nature and simplicity, with the goal of creating a living environment that feels relaxing, pure, and serene. In response to the homeowner’s appreciation for the wabi-sabi aesthetic, the design intentionally avoids excessive decoration. Instead, it embraces a minimalist language and natural materials to evoke a quiet, unrefined beauty. The use of a skylight to draw in natural light, combined with adjustable lighting scenarios, enriches the atmosphere and allows residents to experience the passage of time through shifting light and shadow.

Particular attention was given to spatial scale, circulation, and material composition. Elements like mineral paint, natural wood, stone, and rattan were carefully selected to create a warm and organic feel. Linear lighting both illuminates and guides movement through the space. Structural challenges such as limited ceiling height and piping layout were addressed with irregular curved forms that soften the space and enhance comfort. The ultimate aim was to deliver a home that serves as a calm retreat—one that connects its inhabitants to nature and inner peace.

Because of winning this award, I will be better able to use my own knowledge to come back to social, and pass my experience on people who endeavor in the field of design.

The project was designed to begin in January 2023 and be completed in Taichung City, Taiwan, in November 2023

I like the opus with streak and combines with local culture.

My design is not used by another company, I intent to produce my work by myself.

I think when you meet the client who is trust in you 100%. It’s the time you should display your design ability. This is the reason pushing me to create this opus.

Carlos Páez Vilaro from Paraguay is the one who influence me the most. As an artist and designer, he perfectly makes aesthetics in harmony with nature. This is also my goal.

The design is a Residential House.

What sets this design apart from other similar concepts is its authentic interpretation of wabi-sabi—not as a trend or surface aesthetic, but as a deep expression of a lifestyle philosophy rooted in simplicity, imperfection, and nature.

Instead of decorative finishes or ornate elements, we focused on natural materials such as mineral paint, solid wood, rattan, and stone to evoke texture and warmth. The design avoids symmetry and artificial precision, instead embracing organic curves and irregular lines that create a space resembling a quiet, cave-like retreat. A skylight and linear lighting guide both natural illumination and movement, allowing users to experience the subtle rhythm of time through light and shadow.

This approach transforms the space into more than a home—it becomes a sanctuary of stillness, a sensory experience where natural textures, minimal interventions, and thoughtful spatial flow harmonize into a unique and meditative environment.

The name of this project was inspired by a profound appreciation for stillness, purity, and the traces of time. Drawing from the philosophy of wabi-sabi, we sought to express the essence of the space using a minimal yet evocative title—one that reflects not only the cave-like, inward quality of the architecture, but also the contemplative mindset it invites in its inhabitants.

The name goes beyond describing a style; it encapsulates a value system rooted in slowness, silence, and intentional simplicity. We envisioned a title that allows people to sense the atmosphere even before entering the space—a quiet meeting point of nature and time that resonates with the yearning for a slower, more mindful way of living.

Artistic Coating, mineral paint, solid wood grille, RGB situational lighting control system, KD environmentally friendly PP board, clear glass, gray glass, melamine board, thin board, stone, whole house intelligent control system, rattan, solid wood flooring

In terms of technique, we pursue the design vocabulary of natural and pure texture, avoid excessive tedious processing, and do not use decorative materials. We interpret subtractive design to create a natural and original space appearance. The ceiling is designed with a patio to bring light into the room, adding interest and There is no sense of monotony, and combined with the lighting situation control system, it presents a variety of situational atmospheres. Under the enlarged spatial scale, it also depicts the natural beauty of sunlight shining indoors, allowing residents to experience a pure and comfortable living environment and enjoy the interplay of light and shadow. The quiet beauty

Without doubt, I collaborate with people with specialized skills, this is one of important part in complete this design.

Using the glass material to separate living and sleeping area not only extend the vision but keep the privacy. It also possess a great sleeping quality without interference with the theme of neutral tonality. The special points for this opus are cabinets designed by containing exhibit and storage ability which can exhibit the collectable. Thoughtful design for collection room can be used to storage and exhibit.

At the beginning of the design, the owner pointed out that this space is to be relaxed and comfortable. In view of this, the design is based on style, while using ingenuity to solve problems such as insufficient floor height and pipeline configuration, and through natural Irregular arc lines are embellished among them, creating a comfortable and natural space atmosphere like a cave

By grasping the spatial scale and applying the wabi-sabi style, communication with the owners is a very important link in the overall planning process. From needs and material selection to circulation planning and lighting considerations, the design team uses its professional knowledge to provide the owner with the most suitable design plan, and then carries out engineering construction according to the various designs on the drawing, mastering each division of labor and process, and finally Presenting the most ideal and unique living residence

Design Interview

2 July 2025 · Ukiyoe Restaurant

This project is located in Chiayi City, Taiwan, and is a Japanese conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The design inspiration comes from the fusion of local culture and Japanese catering spirit. We retain the original Japanese architectural vocabulary and use "local, sustainable, and eco-friendly" as the core design principles to create a dining space with both cultural depth and contemporary feel.
The spatial concept is based on the Alishan forestry settlement, borrowing local natural and cultural elements, such as log texture, mountain imagery, and bamboo structure vocabulary, to transform the forest memory of Alishan into spatial language. At the same time, it integrates the spirit of Japanese craftsmen and food culture, and creates a quiet and balanced sensory experience through simple and neat lines, blank space, and light and shadow rhythm.
The overall design not only focuses on the presentation of beauty and atmosphere, but also emphasizes the thinking of symbiosis with the environment, using sustainable materials and low-energy construction methods, hoping to create a dining space that is both rich in cultural heritage and contemporary spirit.

The primary focus of this project was the revitalization of an abandoned building and the creation of a culturally immersive dining space. Our goal was to preserve the historical memory of the original Japanese-era architecture while infusing it with modern functionality and a brand-aligned aesthetic. By retaining the building’s main structure and reinforcing it with steel supports, we transformed a deteriorated space into a sustainable and safe sushi restaurant with rich cultural depth.

The design centers around the concepts of local identity, sustainability, and eco-friendliness. The exterior incorporates wood-grain aluminum louvers to abstractly represent the iconic Alishan mountain range, while the interior draws from traditional Japanese art, including Ukiyo-e motifs, to express the essence of Japanese culinary culture. To enhance interaction and user experience, a double-track conveyor system brings chefs closer to guests, while semi-transparent partitions and natural materials foster a warm and open dining atmosphere. This project represents a balanced integration of culture, history, and technical innovation, and a tangible response to local and sustainable values.

Because of winning this award, I will be better able to use my own knowledge to come back to social, and pass my experience on people who endeavor in the field of design.

The project design started in June 2018, completed in December 25, 2019 in Chiayi City, Taiwan

This design is a restaurant

Unlike conventional commercial or Japanese-themed restaurants, this project stands out through its fusion of local history, natural landscapes, and Japanese culinary culture, with adaptive reuse of an abandoned structure at its core. Instead of imitating Japanese aesthetics superficially, we preserved the authentic traces of the existing building and translated regional elements—such as the mountainous silhouette of Alishan, forestry heritage, raw materials, and Ukiyo-e art—into a rich spatial narrative.

One key differentiator is the interactive double-track conveyor system, which brings chefs closer to guests and encourages engagement. The layout avoids the rigid, back-of-house separation commonly found in traditional sushi restaurants, opting instead for an open, participatory atmosphere enhanced by semi-transparent zoning and thoughtfully layered lighting.

Moreover, all material choices and construction strategies reflect our focus on sustainability and local relevance. The use of unprocessed cypress, exposed steelwork, and natural finishes reduces environmental impact while preserving architectural honesty. The result is a dining space that is not only functional but also emotionally resonant and deeply rooted in its cultural and ecological context.

The name of this project is a tribute to both local nature and cultural memory. Inspired by the iconic Alishan mountain range in Chiayi, Taiwan, the name reflects the region’s geographic identity and forestry heritage. It also resonates with the architectural language—wood-textured aluminum louvers outlining mountain forms on the building’s façade. This name not only represents the physical landscape but also symbolizes the connection between nature, culture, and architecture.

We intended for the name to evoke the feeling of a restaurant that has grown organically from the land—not simply a newly constructed commercial venue, but a space that coexists with its surroundings and speaks to its historical context. The name complements the preservation of the original Japanese-era building and the integration of Ukiyo-e art within the interior, reinforcing the blend of local spirit and Japanese culinary culture.
Through this naming, we aim to immediately convey the narrative and cultural depth of the space, allowing guests to connect with the story behind the experience even before stepping inside.

Cypress wood, granite skin, night pearl antique surface, incense fir, H-shaped steel, wood grain aluminum grille, Ukiyo-e output map, wood grain brick, rust plate, cola stone

To reflect the local culture and natural landscape, the exterior of the building uses a wood grain aluminum louvers to outline the shape of Alishan mountain, while the interior part retains the building during the Japanese occupation period and plenty of materials. To emphasize the cultural background of conveyor belt sushi, Japanese cuisine and the deliciousness of the ingredients, the most representative "Ukiyo-e" wallpaper is stretched along the space, reappearing bustling scene of Edo period.

Without doubt, I collaborate with people with specialized skills, this is one of important part in complete this design.

Technology plays a supportive yet vital role in this project, particularly in three key areas: structural reinforcement, MEP integration, and smart spatial flow. The original building, a deteriorated Japanese-era structure, lacked sufficient load-bearing capacity. Through advanced techniques—such as H-beam reinforcement, custom steel jointing, and modern material fusion—we significantly improved the safety and stability of the building, enabling its adaptive reuse.

All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were reconfigured from scratch. Energy-efficient appliances and motion-sensor lighting were installed to optimize operational sustainability and reduce energy consumption. In the dining experience itself, the double-track sushi conveyor system is a blend of mechanical precision and human interaction, allowing chefs to serve guests more efficiently while maintaining a sense of intimacy and engagement.

Rather than dominating the design, technology in this project functions as an invisible enabler—enhancing sustainability, functionality, and guest experience without compromising the space’s cultural or aesthetic identity.

How to regenerate existing an abandoned old building and inject fashion elements into it with both functionality and traditional style. Make the work conform to the main spirit of its brand, for the research purpose of this case.

The original site was an abandoned old building, lacking of bearing capacity, we retains the main body of the building and uses reinforcement methods. Local beams and columns are fixed with irons while the entire structure becomes stronger by using H-shaped steel. All the pipelines are reconfigured, breaking away the conventional Japanese-style architecture and successfully bringing out the unique features.

By submitting my design to an international design competition, I want to enhance my abilities, and to push my design to the international.

Keep taking challenges and never restrict yourself. The most important is having enthusiasm.

A great designer has heavy duties of society and environment. An excellent technique can treat nature well and a great idea is the best social education.

Architecture can be said to be the sum of the parts connected by nodes. The relationship between nodes exists in materials, proportions, light and shade, and color, in the subtle relationship of exclusion or mutual attraction, and is expressed through integration or concealment, giving it a tangible creation and vitality.

To integrate the staircase from the 1st to 4th floor, the designer used grille lines paired with stainless steel and glass interfaces, supplemented by linear strip lighting, to create a floating and light appeal. The side of the building is also designed in the form of a glass house with a constant temperature wine cellar to enrich the living function and manifest personal taste at the same time. The staircase is decorated with thin slabs of colorful stone and linear light strips, extending the impression of the building's sleek and stylish design language.

As an interface derived from various materials, in the nodes or color sequences, interlaced and juxtaposed with the corresponding layers of light and shadow, emphasizing the continuity from point to line and plane, and at the same time becoming a perfect expression of the fusion of different materials and mosaic art, so that when the eyes stop at any angle in the space, one can feel the vertical and horizontal tension between the real and the virtual.

The design of the space focuses on the expression of continuity, through transitions and extending the aesthetics of visual contrast, eliminating structural stress through perfect ratios. The unique taste and character of the homeowners are embodied through their behavior patterns.

The exterior of building imitates the mountain ridge and uses the different materials to express the image of mountain, wind, tree and sea of cloud, and so on. Without too much decoration, using the natural stone to create the majestic visual effect.

Facing Mt. Ali, the establishment is built and designed under the philosophy of mountains. The outlook of the villa is used crest lines and vary materials to metaphor natural images like mountains, wind, trees, and clouds.

Because of winning this award, I will be better able to use my own knowledge to come back to social, and pass my experience on people who endeavor in the field of design.

The project design started in May 2015 in Chiayi City, finished in June 2016. And built from June 2016 to June 2018 December.

I like the opus with streak and combines with local culture.

My design is not used by another company, I intent to produce my work by myself.

For me, design is like breathing. All the inspiration given by nature, every streak and light-shadow in nature is so beautiful and free. This is the best design!

Carlos Páez Vilaro from Paraguay is the one who influence me the most. As an artist and designer, he perfectly makes aesthetics in harmony with nature. This is also my goal.

The design is a Residential House.

We use a large number of Lo-e glass to beautify the appearance and have the effect of environment protection. This case is a perfect combination of aesthetics and environment protection.

The establishment is built and designed under the philosophy of mountains. The outlook of the villa is an imitation of Mountain Alishan. The French casements allow you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountain Alishan in any season of the year and Low-e glass is used for the eco-friendly residence. The main wall in living space used the nature stone with different depths in a clear and colorful way which connects to the view of Alishan mountain.

Low-e glass, exposed concrete, titanium plating, black textured stone, thin stone, wood plastic composites, gray glass, sulfur amber glass, toggle, Al-clad, antique luminous pearl, Shandong gray, log, classical grain, carrara white, electric TV lift cabinet, curtain wall, engraving ink.

The main wall in living space used the nature stone with different depths in a clear and colorful way which connects to the view of Alishan mountain. Dining area designed by customized wood table which uses a great amount of stones to create the naturally living attitude. By furnishing in design, it makes outdoor environment be viewing clearly and create a relaxed place even in the corner.

Without doubt, I collaborate with people with specialized skills, this is one of important part in complete this design.

By furnishing in deign. It makes outdoor environment be viewing and creates a relaxed place even in the corner.

We use the design of raft foundation and S.R.C structural design. In the part of earthquake assessment reports, we make the level 8 earthquake-resistance numbers. We use a large number of Lo-e glass to beautify the appearance and have the effect of environment protection. In the aspect of landscape, we deliberately heighten the building and the fence to create the waterscape. It can not only maintenance the privacy but also have function of reducing temperatures. This case is a perfect combination of aesthetics and environment protection.

The concept of big mountain is the main spindle of design in this case. The streak of eaves is similar to the ridge which has ups and downs. To hang the large span ranges of roof plank on the wall is a big challenge for us. Another big challenge for us is to stay the large area of glasses without causing the global warming.

I wish one day I could design a faith center such as, temple and church.

My secret material is from nature, without heavy process. Such as, logs, fair-faces concrete, and steel. I often refer different region of design. For example, floriculture, plane, stage, traditional culture, and industry design. Creativity comes from different kind of design, I very like to combine traditional techniques with modern design and expect to pass on the traditional techniques to the latest opus.

I like the designs which have temperature, full of creativity and culture materials. Such as, the opus from Antoni Gaudi. The design full of his respect to nature and amazing industrial arts technology. His design is perfectly combining industrial arts and nature which has great influence of architecture and design concept. He once said:straight belongs to human and curve belongs to god. Learning from nature is the summit of designers.

Except Gaudi’s opus, my favorite artist is Carlos Páez Vilaro form Paraguay. He combines the art and life style to his design. He is the best representative for multiple styles.

Grand Interview

18 June 2026 · Ukiyoe Restaurant

This decision succeeded because it didn't treat culture as background decoration. Instead, it transformed culture into light, materials, and a complete spatial experience. First-time guests may not be able to name the silhouette as 'Alishan,' but they can absolutely feel the profound depth, sustainability, and warmth inherent to a mountain settlement. That is the highest level of emotional resonance that abstract design can achieve.

Ukiyoe Restaurant proves that genuine sustainability isn't about making compromised, ascetic trade-offs for environmental protection. Instead, it’s about using smarter and more inspired design to bring out the most authentic, touching essence of the materials. This model will lead future collaborations toward a win-win-win outcome for aesthetics, eco-friendliness, and commercial success.

Ukiyoe Restaurant’s use of historical visual culture offers an exceptional aesthetic model: it isn't about being retro, it’s about bringing the beauty of the past back to life through modern spatial language. History is no longer an antique locked away in a museum; it has become the core catalyst, enriching both the taste and vision of today’s dining experience.

For us, this honor is not just a compliment on our design skills, but rather the warmest international support for the core philosophy we've held onto for years. In the business world, sticking to the mission of 'coexistence between architecture and nature' always means balancing space efficiency against commercial reality over and over again. This award brings us fresh new inspiration, broadening both our mission and our international horizon.

Overcoming this challenge proves that great interior design never sees 'commercial limitations' as the enemy. In the end, Ukiyoe Restaurant used precise material control (translucent screens and wood louvers) and a reimagined spatial scale to perfectly blend the conveyor belt's 'efficiency line' with the history and culture's 'narrative line.' This wasn’t just a win for design; it was a brilliant intellectual breakthrough.

The reason Ukiyoe Restaurant can showcase such a unique spatial depth is that it ties itself to the roots of Taiwanese soil (Alishan) on one side, and links to the soul of Japanese cuisine (Ukiyoe) on the other. And the thread used to weave it all together is that warm, intense passion for nature and people that I absorbed in South America. This intersection of Eastern and Western perspectives ensures the space is no longer just a pile of styles, but a warm, deep cultural dialogue reaching across the Pacific Ocean.

The success of the dual-track system is that it perfectly solves the conflict between 'efficiency' and 'emotion.' It uses modern geometric steel and technology tracks to wrap around the oldest, warmest heart of dining—the face-to-face interaction where the chef and the guest meet with respect and anticipation. This is truly the ultimate direction that future interactive dining spaces should look to for inspiration.

At Ukiyoe Restaurant, materials are no longer just building blocks to decorate the space. Instead, they are symbols that awaken the guests' emotions, taste buds, and state of mind. Through a layout that guides people 'from the rugged to the warm,' alongside the magic of light and shadow, these five completely different materials perfectly reconcile within the 261-square-meter space, together telling a harmonious story of the land, nature, time, and cuisine.

The spatial layout of Ukiyoe Restaurant is the ultimate expression of 'less is more.' It embraces the truth that while business is inherently bustling, the dining experience itself must be peaceful. By using translucent materials, wood louvers, and shadow aesthetics, the design team wove light and shadow into the soul of the space. With every bite of sushi from start to finish, guests are not just amazed by the delicious flavors, but also discover a deep sense of emotional cleansing and inner peace.

Culture is not an antique we borrow to decorate our walls; it is the soil we live upon.” This is the deepest realization I had after completing the Ukiyoe Restaurant. When a designer learns to treat the land with humility and history with respect, and uses advanced contemporary craftsmanship to interpret culture, a space can rise above the disputes of time and politics. It becomes a warm place that truly gives peace to the mind and passes down memories. This is exactly the ultimate meaning of 'harmony between architecture, nature, and culture' that Zendo Design strives for.

Grand Interview

22 October 2025 · Quiet Contemplation Residential

When we started designing the " Quiet Contemplation House", our primary goal was to create a living space that allows people to slow down and return to the essence. The natural, quiet and imperfect beauty contained in the Wabi-Sabi aesthetics deeply echoes the owner's attitude towards life and becomes the core of the design. We abandoned excessive decoration and complicated lines and instead used natural materials such as mineral paint, stone, rattan, and logs to construct the spatial vocabulary, emphasizing the texture and temperature of the material itself, and conveying a subtle and pure beauty. In the process of cultural integration, we not only respect the spirit of wabi-sabi, but also integrate the functions and comfort required by modern life. For example, natural light is introduced through the patio design, and then combined with the lighting situation control system to create a static and dynamic atmosphere; the design of the line light has the function of guiding the movement line and lighting up the space. The stacking of these details allows the house to retain the tranquility and simplicity of wabi-sabi, and also meets the expectations of modern residents for comfort and practicality. In addition, the irregular curved lines in the space simulate the image of the cave, strengthen the feeling of nature and shelter, and make the house a place where the inside and outside are unified and the body and mind are settled. Such cultural integration is not only an expression of style, but also a practice of a life attitude - returning to reality and embracing the present.

In the design of the " Quiet Contemplation House", light and shadow are the key media for us to interpret the spirit of wabi-sabi. Inspiration comes from nature itself - we observe how sunlight passes through the woods and leaves shadows on the mountain walls and stone surfaces. Those undecorated but poetic changes in light and shadow make us realize that light is not only a tool for lighting, but also a soul that shapes the mood of space. Therefore, we deliberately introduced the patio design to make natural light a part of the space rather than an additional element. The sunlight falls from the ceiling of the terrace and wanders between the walls and the floor over time, bringing a sense of rhythm and vitality, and also creating a sense of time and space that can be quietly observed. This flow of light and shadow not only responds to the owner's original desire for a slow life and inner peace, but also echoes the praise of "traces of time" in wabi-sabi.We also use the lighting situation system and line light configuration to continue the light and shadow pulsation of the day at night, so that every moment has a different spatial expression. Light is no longer just an auxiliary, but the protagonist who guides emotions, allowing people to feel tranquility, thinking and self-dialogue between light and shadow, thus achieving a truly quiet living experience. This is exactly the design spirit we want to convey.

My study experience in Argentina gave me a deeper understanding of the narrative and emotional level of space. South American architecture emphasizes freedom and coexistence with nature, and often uses open structures, light and air flow to convey vitality. This design vocabulary has deeply influenced my grasp of spatial scale and rhythm in the future, and also opened up my interest in the dialogue between different cultural aesthetics. In the "Quiet House", I tried to combine the tranquility and restraint of the Eastern Wabi-Sabi aesthetics with the Western concept of emphasizing spatial tension and field transformation. For example, in the Eastern context, we emphasize blank space, simplicity and the real texture of materials; and from Western architecture, I learned to use light, movement lines and spatial levels to make the space more visually and perceptually deeper. This cross-cultural integration is not a superficial collage, but a search for a common spirituality from the essence - the pursuit of truth, freedom and concern for human life. During the design process, I constantly sought a balance between "stillness" and "movement", "virtuality" and "reality", so that the space retains the calmness and restraint of the East, and also has the modernity of the West's flexible use of space, thereby shaping a residence that can truly communicate with people's hearts.

In the " Quiet Contemplation House", we are committed to creating a living space where people can slow down and calm their minds. The introduction of the RGB situational lighting control system is one of the key designs that integrates modern technology with spatial emotions. Unlike traditional lighting that only provides brightness and darkness, we use the RGB lighting system that can adjust the color temperature and color to create a diverse and delicate spatial atmosphere according to the rhythm of day and night and the emotions of the residents.Such technology integration is not only an aesthetic tool, but also a guide to psychological rhythm. Soft warm light can help relax emotions and is suitable for reading, meditation or contemplation; while cool blue light is suitable for daytime work and awake time. Through the preset situation mode, residents can quickly switch the light source state according to the living situation, further achieving the life experience of "light changes with the heart".More importantly, this system does not conflict with the "wabi-sabi aesthetics" we emphasize. On the contrary, it becomes an invisible vocabulary of light, making natural light and artificial light complement each other, flowing quietly between walls, furniture and material textures, and strengthening the tranquility, simplicity and purity of the space. This operation method of drawing out emotions from technology is one of our practices to interpret the modern wabi-sabi spirit.

In the design of " Quiet Contemplation House", we always face a core challenge: how to integrate modern intelligent technology into the framework of "nature, imperfection and tranquility" emphasized by Wabi-Sabi aesthetics without destroying the harmony and purity of the overall space. To this end, we adopted the strategy of "invisible technology" and made the intelligent control system the core of the behind-the-scenes operation rather than the visual protagonist. All smart devices—including lighting situation control, heating and cooling air conditioning systems, curtain opening and closing, and voice control modules—are cleverly integrated into the building structure and furniture, keeping the walls and sights clean and tidy, and preventing the sense of technology from interfering with the tranquil atmosphere of the space. At the same time, we chose a very simple interface design to make the operation more intuitive and neat, and to integrate it into daily life without excessive learning.Wabi-sabi emphasizes "unnoticeable natural feeling", so we are also very particular about the combination of materials and light, so that technology and the environment can have a dialogue rather than conflict. For example, the collaboration between smart lighting and natural light from the patio not only improves comfort, but also interprets the breathing rhythm of the space over time.Such a design process is an art of balance - while retaining the spiritual core, modern functions are cleverly introduced to allow technology to truly serve life rather than dominate space, thereby realizing the modern wabi-sabi life ideal.

In the design of " Quiet Contemplation House ", we regard materials as the starting point of spatial language, which not only affects the visual presentation, but also touches people's senses and emotions more deeply. Our material selection logic comes from the in-depth thinking of "natural sensitivity" and "wabi-sabi spirit". Wabi-sabi aesthetics emphasizes the imperfect reality and the traces of time, so in the selection of materials, we tend to have natural textures, warm touch and materials that change over time.Mineral paint has a matte, fine and rough texture, which can create subtle changes in light and shadow on the wall, conveying a quiet and primitive atmosphere; stone retains natural texture and color difference, showing traces of time and natural carving, adding thickness and stability to the space; rattan and logs bring visual and tactile warmth, while being breathable and rustic, making the space more lifelike. These materials may seem undecorated, but in fact they form a highly coordinated dialogue through color temperature, texture density and scale. We also pay special attention to the interaction between light and materials at different times, so that the space can show natural rhythm and changes over time. Such sensory harmony is not only based on visual beauty, but also a design experience that is synchronized with the rhythm of life and can be touched and felt.

The original intention of the design of " Quiet Contemplation House " is to create a place for residents to slow down and return to their inner selves in the bustling city. In order to achieve such a rhythm of life, we started with the movement line and space layout to reconstruct the relationship between space and people.First, in the planning of movement lines, we adopted the strategy of "slow guidance", abandoning the linear fast-pass design and replacing it with soft curves, turns and blank spaces, so that people can naturally slow down their pace while moving and stay at various transition nodes. These transition spaces are not only movement line connections, but also nodes of emotional transformation, allowing people to have a moment of precipitation in their daily lives.Secondly, in terms of spatial layout, we emphasize "open but not empty, separated but not continuous", using low furniture, transparent materials or half-height partitions to separate functions and situations, maintain a sense of visual penetration, while retaining privacy and layers, so that the space still has a sense of rhythm in the flow. This gentle and orderly spatial rhythm creates a psychological "relaxation".With natural materials, soft light and shadow and minimalist colors, the overall space is no longer driven by function, but guides residents back to the rhythm of feeling, breathing and meditation, gradually diluting the compactness and oppression of urban life, and then constructing a daily life state with more depth and rhythm.

In the " Quiet Contemplation House ", the introduction of arc vocabulary is not only an aesthetic choice, but also a spatial solution developed to address technical limitations. Due to the problem of insufficient floor height in the original building conditions, if traditional horizontal or right-angle lines are used, the space will easily appear oppressive and heavy, affecting the living comfort and visual extension. Therefore, we turned to use "arc transition" to redefine the high and low rhythm of the space. The soft connection between the curved ceiling and the wall not only effectively "hides" the beams and equipment pipelines, but also creates a sense of continuity and envelopment when the line of sight flows in the space, further weakening the visual pressure caused by the height limit. This kind of curve language also echoes the spirit of "natural, imperfect, and seamless transformation" in the wabi-sabi philosophy, shaping a stable, soft, and quiet space atmosphere like a cave.In addition, these curves also show subtle light and dark gradients under the projection of light, giving the space a soft shadow and depth, adding a sensory layer. Through this approach, we not only solved the technical limitations of the structure, but also continued the overall design vocabulary, achieving a high degree of integration of form and function, making the space both reasonable, comfortable, and poetic.

The A' Design Award for Quiet Contemplation Residential is not only a recognition of the design quality of this project, but also a positive response to the future direction of residential development. This project proves that even in the contemporary highly technological living environment, it is still possible to achieve a balance between technology and nature, function and sensibility through restrained and introverted design language. We take the wabi-sabi aesthetic as the foundation, and combine it with modern facilities such as smart lighting and whole-house control systems, but do not let technology take over the show, but let it hide in the space and quietly serve life. This design strategy has important implications for future residential design - technological progress does not have to be equivalent to coldness or complexity, but should respond to human nature and emotional needs, and enhance the warmth and depth of space.I believe this case will encourage more designers to break away from the traditional style framework and think about how to construct a more rhythmic and spiritual residential space through material selection, light processing and intelligent system integration. It shows us that a truly profound design is not about stacking technology or form, but about finding a harmonious state of quiet symbiosis between people and space, technology and nature. This will be an important direction for future residential design.

Transforming the abstract philosophical concept of "inner peace" into concrete architectural elements is one of the most challenging tasks in the design of "Quiet House". Starting from the core spirit of Wabi-Sabi aesthetics, we emphasize simplicity, nature and traces of time to create a spatial atmosphere that can resonate with the soul.First, we abandon unnecessary decorations and focus on the texture and texture of the material itself. We use natural materials such as mineral paint, stone, and logs. These materials have warm and imperfect textures, symbolizing the reality and changes of life, so that residents can feel a natural sense of relief and settlement.Secondly, the layout and movement line design of the space deliberately guide the slow pace, through the soft arc structure and blank space, to create a sense of coverage and visual extension, so that people can relax and settle in the space. The use of light is even more critical. We use the natural light of the patio and the adjustable lighting system to create the rhythm of light and shadow flow, symbolizing the passage of time and the tranquility of the moment. Most importantly, we communicated deeply with the owners during the design process to understand their inner feelings and life needs for "peace", so that the space is not only a visual enjoyment, but also an emotional and spiritual sustenance. This design concept allows "inner peace" to be concretely presented in the building through every detail and atmosphere.

22 October 2025 · Clinic Zen Residential and Commercial

The vision for Clinic Zen Residential and Commercial began with the duality of its program: a professional clinic seamlessly integrated with a private residence. Our design approach sought to balance the clinical precision required of a medical practice with the emotional warmth of a home. Clean, minimalist lines and elongated windows reflect the calm and confidence of the physician, while views of lush greenery help reduce patient anxiety. In contrast, the residential area is softened through warm tones and natural textures, providing the doctor a peaceful retreat after work.As the design evolved, the biggest challenge became zoning—especially in the context of the post-pandemic world. Clear separation between public (clinical) and private (residential) areas became essential. The final solution embraces simplicity and nature, achieving a thoughtful blend of rationality and humanity that redefines how healing and living can coexist harmoniously within the same architectural space.

From the outset, we were deeply aware of the anxiety and tension many patients feel when visiting a clinic. This inspired us to use transparency as a healing design element—connecting interior spaces with surrounding greenery through large, uninterrupted windows. Natural light and open views soften the clinical atmosphere, helping reduce stress and evoke a sense of calm and openness.Balancing transparency with privacy, however, was crucial. We carefully designed window heights, used vertical louvers, and strategically placed plants to create visual shielding without fully closing off views. This approach allows patients to feel visually connected to nature while maintaining personal discretion—achieving a subtle harmony of openness and separation. This semi-transparent design language stems from our commitment to human-centered healthcare environments, ultimately crafting a space that feels both professional and emotionally supportive.

Living in Argentina profoundly shaped my perception of space and its relationship with human behavior. The Argentine emphasis on openness, natural light, and the seamless flow between interior and exterior environments taught me to view architecture through a more fluid and human-centered lens.In designing Clinic Zen, I drew upon Eastern architectural philosophies—such as the appreciation of voids, subtle transitions, and the aesthetics of “in-betweenness”—while integrating Western principles of material expression and structural clarity. This fusion created a space where serenity meets order, and where natural softness coexists with architectural rigor.Ultimately, my cross-cultural experience helped me develop a design language that transcends geographical borders, focusing instead on the universal needs of healing, living, and quiet introspection.

The COVID-19 pandemic prompted a rethinking of spatial boundaries between public and private domains. In Clinic Zen, we strategically addressed this by creating a clearly separated layout: the clinic occupies one side of the building with a dedicated entrance and circulation path, minimizing overlap with residential movement.Yet, spatial separation should not result in visual disconnection. To maintain aesthetic cohesion, we used a consistent architectural vocabulary—clean lines, natural materials, and lush greenery—to tie both zones together. Whether in the waiting area or living quarters, the design tone remains unified. This approach not only satisfies functional demands for health and safety, but also introduces a new paradigm where professionalism and domestic warmth coexist in a single architectural narrative.

In Clinic Zen, materials were not chosen solely for their structural role—but for their ability to shape emotional experience. We aimed to soften the often sterile nature of clinical spaces, transforming them into environments that communicate trust and warmth.Exposed concrete anchors the design with its raw honesty and composure, reflecting the clarity and professionalism of the medical practice. Granite facades convey durability and reliability—qualities essential to a space that serves the public. In contrast, natural wood textures introduce warmth and domestic familiarity. Used across ceilings, floors, and furniture accents, wood becomes the emotional thread that ties the residence to the clinic.Through this material dialogue, we created a space that balances authority with intimacy—where people feel both cared for and at home.

Located in a narrow urban alley in Chiayi and surrounded by aging buildings, Clinic Zen presented a key challenge: how to realize a modern architectural vision without disrupting the surrounding structures. We adopted a low-interference construction strategy, including phased operations, modular construction methods, and temporary protective barriers to shield neighboring buildings. During foundation works, we used top-down construction and micro-pile support systems to minimize soil movement and structural risk to adjacent properties. From a design perspective, we reduced visual and physical pressure by creating a vertically composed form with clean lines, implementing setbacks and green buffer zones to soften the interface between old and new. This ensured that neighboring structures retained their light, space, and structural integrity. This approach not only protected the historical context of the neighborhood but also allowed our design to blend harmoniously into the urban fabric—achieving a balance between innovation and preservation.

The five-story vertical layout of Clinic Zen reflects our core philosophy: professional medical practice and personal living should coexist without interference. The ground floor is dedicated entirely to the clinic, with a separate entrance and reception to establish a strong professional identity and streamline public access. The second and third floors serve as transition zones—housing extended clinic functions and private offices—bridging public and private realms. The fourth and fifth floors are exclusively residential, designed with high ceilings, natural lighting, and warm materials to foster a calming, homelike environment. This "clinic below, home above" concept ensures functional independence while maintaining a subtle architectural connection. The result is a thoughtful vertical ecosystem where trust, privacy, and well-being are all carefully respected.

In Clinic Zen, smart technology was integrated to enhance comfort and operational efficiency—but always guided by the principle that technology should be invisible, and serenity should be felt.Automated curtains, for instance, adjust lighting throughout the day to maintain privacy and create a soft, natural ambiance. Smart locks provide secure, seamless access for both the physician and their family. All systems are discreetly embedded into the architecture—minimal in appearance and quiet in function—so as not to disturb the project’s calm, Zen-inspired aesthetic. We treated technology as a silent assistant, not a centerpiece. Scene control systems allow lighting, air conditioning, and blinds to shift automatically according to time or need—ensuring the rhythm of the space remains tranquil and intentional. The result is a space where modern convenience and meditative beauty coexist in harmony.

The minimalist, box-like form of Clinic Zen was a deliberate architectural response to both the site's urban context and its hybrid medical-residential function.Functionally, the box shape allows for efficient interior zoning, clear vertical circulation, and simplified construction—crucial for integrating a clinic and a private home within limited urban space.Aesthetically, the clean lines and pure white facade reflect professionalism and order, reinforcing a calm and trustworthy atmosphere essential for a healthcare environment. To harmonize with the surrounding neighborhood, we introduced setbacks and lush greenery around the perimeter, softening the form’s impact and avoiding visual intrusion. This restrained geometry creates a quiet presence—professional yet serene, distinctive yet respectful—allowing the building to contribute meaningfully to the community without overwhelming it.

Clinic Zen’s recognition with the A' Design Award underscores a key shift in how hybrid medical-residential spaces can be reimagined—not as two conflicting functions, but as complementary experiences within one cohesive structure. As urban land becomes increasingly limited, Clinic Zen demonstrates the potential of vertical programming, clearly separating public and private zones while preserving architectural unity.By integrating natural light, greenery, and transparent boundaries, the project redefines clinical spaces as more human-centered, helping reduce patient anxiety while enhancing livability for residents.Furthermore, the combination of smart technology with minimalist aesthetics sets a precedent for how future healthcare environments can be both calm and connected, blending professionalism with comfort. These innovations provide a model for future mixed-use healthcare facilities to move beyond cold institutional typologies and embrace empathetic, integrated, and sustainable design.

Grand Interview

22 November 2024 · President 15 Guest House

In the design of President 15, I really drew a lot of inspiration from my experience in Argentina in my design philosophy, especially how to make a space feel relaxing and comfortable. In Argentina, people are accustomed to introducing man-made elements into their homes, whether in green courtyards, spacious storage rooms, or open-plan living spaces. I have observed that this design not only promotes the natural flow between indoors and outdoors, but also It brings about the effect of relaxing the whole body.In addition, in order to add warmth and luxury, I chose titanium-plated metal and natural stone extensions. These materials herald subtle drastic changes under natural light, injecting a rich layering into the space to comply with environmental protection and health standards. It is also the sustainability emphasized in the Argentinian design philosophy to relax and find a haven with nature intact in the midst of diverse urban life.

Far-infrared wood flooring was chosen with deep consideration for the health of the occupants. This material has a gentle heat output that helps regulate the structure and recirculate while bringing natural warmth to the space. The understanding of sustainable living not only provides a functional environment, but also improves people's health and shows respect for the environment in details. This health-conscious material is fully consistent with our vision of sustainable luxury living. The continuous attitude towards life is reflected in every design decision, allowing the space to find a balance between nature and luxury, so that the occupants can get a lasting comfort and satisfy.

In the process of designing President 15, the application of mirror reflection brought rich visual layers and extension effects to the space, which not only added to the spaciousness of the space, but also subtly emphasized privacy, allowing residents to enjoy a relaxing time in an intimate atmosphere. For a vacation experience, the clever use of mirrors and careful arrangements reflect the outdoor natural landscape, allowing people to feel the extension and integration of the outdoor environment indoors. This design makes the space both open and private, maintaining a tranquil atmosphere. This design strategy not only effectively simulates the feeling of envelopment of the natural landscape, but also accurately conveys the atmosphere of a holiday home, making the space appear spacious and comfortable, while retaining the necessary privacy. The overall effect achieves visual continuity between indoor and outdoor landscapes, making residents feel as if they are in nature without losing security and intimacy. This is exactly the balance I sought in this project: between comfort and privacy, to provide an intimate and enjoyable holiday experience.

In the design of President 15, the design of the open display rack takes into account both aesthetics and functionality. It not only meets the needs of the homeowner to display collections, but also perfectly integrates into the overall atmosphere of the vacation home, making this display rack one of the highlights of the indoor space. one.First of all, the material and color tone of the display stand are carefully selected. We used natural wood and soft neutral colors. This combination complements the surrounding resort style. It can highlight the homeowner’s collection without overpowering the guests and avoiding being too complicated and affecting the holiday atmosphere. In terms of design, we chose geometric partitions. The display space is divided by vertical and horizontal lines, making the display rack visually more layered, while maintaining cleanliness and order, and enhancing the balance and comfort of the overall space. In addition, the design of the display rack is highly flexible, with adjustable shelf height and variable display areas, allowing homeowners to change the furnishings at any time according to seasons or personal preferences, adding variability and personalization to the space, and making the occupants more comfortable. Feel fresh and happy in a familiar environment. This design not only enriches the display function, but also emphasizes the warmth and relaxation of the holiday home, making the display stand an important element in enhancing the atmosphere of the space. Through the careful handling of these details, we have found the perfect balance between beauty and functionality. Balance, so that the entire space is personalized without losing the sense of unity and comfort of the resort style.

When choosing titanium-coated metal and natural stone as the main materials for President 15, I was deeply inspired by the surrounding natural landscape and the needs of modern life. I intended to integrate these two elements into the space design to convey a sense of luxury and nature. Harmonious atmosphere.First of all, the choice of titanium-plated metal is to enhance the modernity and gloss of the space. The unique reflective properties of this material allow light to be used flexibly in the space, allowing residents to experience different spatial levels and levels as the light and shadow change. Atmosphere. This also makes the space flow, giving it a lively but unobtrusive sense of movement. The addition of natural stone is out of respect for the earth's simplicity. Its rough texture and calm texture provide a solid foundation for the entire space, allowing residents to feel a solid, stable and comfortable atmosphere in such an environment. , these stones not only connect the natural elements of the outdoors, but also give the space a leisurely atmosphere, giving the entire holiday home a sense of earth-like stability. The blend of titanium-plated metal and natural stone brings a dynamic and static beauty, finding a balance between luxury and nature. Together they promote the emotional resonance of the space, making residents feel a sense of nature and modernity. The unique atmosphere of intersection is exactly the emotional depth and design tension I pursue when creating.

In the design of President 15, we focused on the integration of environmentally friendly materials and luxurious design, which not only demonstrates our commitment to sustainable development, but also echoes the dual needs of environmental responsibility and aesthetic taste in contemporary interior design.First of all, the choice of far-infrared solid wood flooring and natural stone not only pays attention to the sustainability of the materials, but also takes into account the health and comfort of the residents. Far-infrared wood flooring not only has environmental protection advantages, but also improves air quality and indoor comfort, realizing the dual value of health and sustainability. Natural stone, with its natural and rustic beauty and durability, has become an eternal fixture in the space. Continuing elements can add a timeless texture over time.In addition, we integrate the luster and luxurious visual effects of titanium-plated metal into the design of environmentally friendly materials, making it not only modern but also rich in texture. Titanium-plated metal has become an ideal choice for sustainable design due to its durability and antioxidant properties. Giving the space a modern and luxurious atmosphere, these design choices emphasize the combination of environmental awareness and high-end aesthetics in contemporary design, expressing a design concept that is both luxurious and responsible. This balance reflects the modern design trend of environmental protection and luxury no longer opposing each other, but assisting each other to jointly create a space that is in line with contemporary aesthetics and sustainable spirit. In the design of President 15, we used these concepts to create a resort atmosphere that is both environmentally friendly and luxurious, showing multiple concerns about the environment, health and aesthetics.

When developing President 15, we attached great importance to the connection between the indoor space and the surrounding greenery. This is not only the core of the design concept, but also one of the key components of the overall space. In terms of space planning and the selection of specific design elements, we made some important decisions.First of all, we blurred the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Through large-view windows, sliding glass doors, and mirror reflection technology, we introduced the surrounding green landscape into the interior. The design emphasized the concept of "flow", using mirrors and The use of transparent materials creates a natural boundary between indoor and outdoor sight lines, creating a feeling of physical relaxation. In terms of specific design elements, materials that can fit in with the natural landscape were chosen, such as far-infrared solid wood flooring, which not only helps to improve comfort, but also brings a natural gravity that perfectly integrates with the surrounding green landscape. The design of the display rack also consciously chooses simple and natural materials, combined with open space planning to maintain the fluidity and openness of the space. The embodiment of these design elements chooses our pursuit of harmonious symbiosis of indoor and outdoor environments.

In the design of President 15, we focused on creating a space that is beneficial to physical and mental health. In addition to far-infrared solid wood floors, we also incorporated health-oriented design elements in many aspects. First, the design of the air quality and ventilation system ensures fresh indoor air. , and effectively filter harmful substances and allergens to improve the comfort and health of residents. Secondly, we chose natural, non-toxic building materials and coatings, which not only improves air quality, but also avoids the impact of harmful chemicals on the health of residents. The introduction of natural light is another highlight of our design. The setting of large windows and skylights maximizes the exposure of natural light, regulates the biological clock, and enhances mood and physical and mental health. In addition, noise control measures such as sound insulation materials and double-glazed windows create a quiet environment for residents and ensure a high-quality rest. The introduction of green plants not only beautifies the space, but also helps improve air quality and promote physical and mental relaxation. The flexible space configuration provides enough activity space to support healthy activities such as yoga and meditation, further improving the quality of life. These design elements work together to create a healthy, comfortable and luxurious holiday space.

My international background played an important role in the design of President 15, especially in terms of the fusion of Eastern and Western design principles. My past experience in Argentina gave me a deep understanding of how to combine elements of different cultures in design. I was inspired by the warm and open design style of Argentina, especially the fluidity of the space and the use of green plants. These elements fill the space with a natural atmosphere and promote the harmonious interaction between people and the environment. On the other hand, design concepts from Eastern culture emphasize simplicity, Zen and balance, and I combine these principles with the Western pursuit of luxury and detail. This fusion allows me to create a resort atmosphere that is in line with modern aesthetics without losing comfort and nature. I use reflection and light and shadow design techniques in the space to blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, allowing residents to blend in between luxury and nature. Find a balance between. This fusion of Eastern and Western elements not only gives the space a diverse visual language, but also enhances its emotional resonance, bringing residents a comfortable, relaxing and culturally rich vacation experience.

The success of President 15 has undoubtedly profoundly affected my understanding and practice of the balance between luxury, sustainability and cultural authenticity. This project has made me understand better that modern design must not only consider the pursuit of aesthetics, but also pay attention to environmental protection and cultural aspects. Value, the harmonious coexistence between these three is the key to creating a unique and deeply meaningful space. In the future design process, I will continue to combine the vision of luxury with sustainable materials, such as titanium-coated metal and natural stone choices, which are not only modern, but also the ultimate in durability and environmental protection. At the same time, I will Pay more attention to the expression of cultural authenticity, which is not only respect for local culture, but also a tribute to history and nature. For example, introducing natural elements such as green plants and natural materials indoors can not only enhance the comfort of the space, but also allow residents to feel relaxed physically and mentally. This kind of space has a better quality of life. These experiences convinced me that future design should not just pursue aesthetics, but should also focus on how to create spaces that can inspire emotional resonance, respect the environment, and be closely connected with local culture.

22 November 2024 · Colorful Villa

In the colorful design, the source of inspiration can be the moment when I first met the customer. This scene deeply touched me and made me realize that design is not only the planning of space, but also the resonance of emotions and the expression of life. .I started thinking about how to translate this sense of pure joy into an overall design language, with hues that not only embody a child’s carefreeness but also breathe life into each space. In addition, the line structure in the design adds to the fashion of the space. The light and round curves are like candy, bringing a free and brisk body and a pleasant living environment. In the end, this design draws inspiration from the moment when a child eats a lollipop and forms a comprehensive design language to create a happy space full of love and innocence, a haven for happiness and relaxation in a short period of time.

In the colorful design, the use of curved lines and warm colors indeed creates a unique feminine color, surrounded by a warm embrace. In terms of tones, we chose soft pinks, creams and light blues. These colors not only bring visual effects, but also make the space more refined and non-glaring, creating a warm atmosphere that the occupants can enjoy. In the selection of materials, we used naturally moisturizing and soft fabrics, such as cotton. These materials are not only pleasant to the touch, but also visually add a sense of playfulness and enhance the affinity of the space. For the practicality of the design, we added some interesting decorations, such as colorful hanging paintings and unique ornaments. Grand Interview

22 November 2024 · Ukiyoe Restaurant

When designing the Ukiyo-e restaurant, we hoped to showcase the local style of Taiwan and the traditional aesthetics of Japan in the architecture. We conducted a meaningful cross-cultural dialogue and incorporated the outline of Alishan into the design to allow customers to enjoy their meal. You can feel the natural atmosphere of Chiayi and experience the essence of Japanese catering culture. This architectural dialogue is inspired by our respect for local culture and our deep understanding of the restaurant’s brand concept. The design of the wooden shutters is inspired by the famous Alishan landscape in Taiwan. The outline of the mountain is outlined through the aluminum alloy shutters, which not only creates a fusion of nature and architecture, but also symbolizes the deep cultural foundation of Alishan. This element is used in the design It combines Japan's "shade aesthetics", that is, using translucency and shelter to create a restrained aesthetic, forming a natural transition between the inside and outside of the space, and retaining the design philosophy of "simple handling of complexity" in traditional Japanese architecture. In addition, Ukiyo-e wallpapers are used internally to express the history and essence of Japanese cuisine with the bustling scenes of the Edo period, extending a space rich in story-telling. This cultural blend is reflected in every detail of the space, from From the selection of materials to the design language, guests can not only feel the local scenery of Chiayi, but also experience the cultural background of Japanese cuisine. This cross-cultural dialogue not only enriches the space, but also allows our creation to more truly reflect the core spirit of the brand.

When converting this abandoned Japanese colonial building into a Ukiyo-e restaurant, the need to preserve the original structure profoundly influenced our design decisions and material selections. Our primary goal was to maintain the building's historic appearance while ensuring modern functionality and structure. Safety, in order to achieve this, we took special structural strengthening measures during the renovation process and selected materials with traditional beauty and strength.During the design process, retaining and strengthening the original architectural features became a challenge. We chose H-shaped steel to support and strengthen the main structure of the building to ensure that its load-bearing capacity was increased without destroying the original style. In addition, iron fixings are used in some beams and columns, which not only increases stability, but also reflects the simple craftsmanship common in Japanese architecture. The selection of these materials not only conforms to Japanese simple aesthetics, but also extends the service life of the building, in line with Our sustainable design philosophy. In terms of materials, we use unprocessed cypress wood as the main element of the interior design to highlight the natural simplicity of Japanese architecture and reduce the burden on the environment. By using materials with local culture and a sense of nature, we are able to respect the history of the building. , while breathing new life into it. These design choices allowed us to create a dining space with cultural depth and modern aesthetics while preserving the character of the old building.

When designing Ukiyoe Restaurant, we hope to create a space that is not just a traditional dining space, but a place that can enhance diners’ experience and interaction. The traditional single-track conveyor belt sushi design is indeed a classic, but we hope to break this limitation through a double-track system , making the restaurant not just a reproduction of traditional conveyor belt sushi, but a more vibrant place that is closer to diners. The double-track design is inspired by the core concept of the restaurant: using simple design techniques to meet diverse needs. Under this design, the chef can more conveniently deliver sushi directly to each guest, creating a zero-distance contact with the guests. experience. This not only shortens the physical distance between chefs and diners, but also allows guests to feel the human touch in Japanese catering culture. In addition, the dual-track design also provides a more flexible delivery method for different types of ingredients and dishes, making the presentation of dishes smoother and the overall dining experience richer and more diverse. Therefore, the dual-track system is not only a breakthrough in spatial mobility, but also a strengthening of the emotional connection between diners and chefs. We hope that this interactive model can bring different dining memories to diners, while also bringing a novel and in-depth experience to traditional conveyor belt sushi restaurants.

In the design of the Ukiyoe restaurant, we strive to create a space that has historical echoes and meets the needs of modern dining. When integrating the Ukiyoe art of the Edo period, we focus on "artistic conception" and "emotional resonance", and Not simply a retro reproduction, so that we can give the space the depth of culture and weight of history while ensuring its modern functionality and practicality.Ukiyo-e itself is an art form that depicts daily life, natural landscapes and humanistic feelings, full of vitality and stories. We chose the classic work "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" and extended this visual language in the space, so that diners can feel an immersive "Edo feeling" as soon as they step into the restaurant. However, when designing the presentation of ukiyo-e, we deliberately used modern materials and techniques, such as translucent partitions and soft lighting, to present these images in a low-key yet detailed manner. In this way, the presence of Ukiyo-e murals is more in line with the needs of modern dining spaces and will not appear too heavy or complicated. In addition, we have also modernized the restaurant’s mobility and operations, such as the dual-track system and open visual effects, which bring a richer interactive experience to the restaurant. Diners can not only appreciate the artistic beauty of Ukiyo-e, but also enjoy modern and efficient services. This balance makes the space more inclusive and attracts diners from different cultural backgrounds to experience it.Overall, our design goal was to convey the essence of Japanese culture without losing the local emotional resonance. Through the clever combination of Ukiyo-e and modern technology, we successfully created a place that transcends time and space both visually and experientially. Dining space.

In the design of Ukiyoe restaurant, environmental awareness has deeply affected the material selection and overall design concept. We hope that this space can not only present visual beauty and cultural characteristics, but also be environmentally responsible, so as to achieve "sustainability, environmental protection, and localization" ” design goals. The choice of unprocessed cypress wood and rustic iron materials is to reduce the impact of processing on the environment, while also maximizing the natural beauty and local characteristics of the material. The cypress wood not only conforms to the traditional Japanese style, but also visually brings a warm atmosphere. , blending harmoniously with the local natural environment. The iron material not only increases the stability of the building, but also lasts for a long time, reducing future maintenance costs and supporting the sustainability of the building. In addition, wood grain aluminum shutters are presented with a wooden appearance, achieving a beautiful effect while maintaining the durability of aluminum, which is both recyclable and meets environmental standards. In terms of design concept, we pursue diversity in simple materials to echo the Japanese "Wabi-sabi" aesthetics and the natural characteristics of the local "mountain forest". Through natural materials and simple design language, we hope that this space can inspire diners to interact with The connection with nature also makes the building itself full of story.Ultimately, we hope that Ukiyoe is not just a restaurant, but a space that showcases local culture and eco-friendliness. Such a design will not only bring visual and sensory pleasure, but also become a true embodiment of environmental protection, culture and sustainability concepts.

In the design of Ukiyoe restaurant, narrowing the distance between chefs and guests is based on our deep understanding of dining culture and interactive experiences. Traditional conveyor belt sushi restaurants usually separate chefs from customers, and our goal is to break this This kind of boundary promotes more direct communication and interaction between chefs and guests. The core concept of this space design is to allow customers to get closer to the chef's working process, which will not only enhance the sensory enjoyment during the meal, but also allow customers to feel the exquisiteness and artistry of the cuisine. In terms of design, we used a dual-track system to change the traditional conveyor belt sushi dining method, allowing the chef to stand closer to the guests, able to observe and adjust the customers' needs, and at the same time share the stories and details of the food with the guests. This kind of design not only strengthens the connection between food and culture, but also allows guests to participate and feel a more warm and intimate atmosphere. In addition, such intimate interactions make the restaurant more than just a place to dine, it is a space for socialization and cultural exchange. Customers can communicate with chefs in a relaxed atmosphere and learn about the background, ingredient selection and cooking process of Japanese cuisine, thereby enhancing the overall dining experience.By narrowing the distance between chefs and guests, we hope to turn the restaurant into a more interactive, open and shared place, further enhancing customers’ experience of food and culture, and making dining not only a taste of delicious food, but also a cross-cultural experience. Exchange journey.

My experience of studying in Argentina and traveling around the world has profoundly influenced my understanding of cultural integration and design, which plays an important role in the way I interpret Japanese food culture in the Taiwanese context. In the design of this Ukiyoe restaurant, I integrated diversity into The combination of cultural elements and perception of different environments allows the essence of Japanese cuisine to be expressed in Taiwan's local characteristics.First of all, my study experience in Argentina made me pay more attention to the openness and fluidity of space. Argentinian architectural style emphasizes large open spaces and light, and these design concepts led me to use translucent materials and open plan in the Ukiyoe restaurant. The wood grain aluminum louvers not only respond to the local natural landscape, but also make the restaurant space more open and inclusive, promoting interaction between chefs and customers.During my global travels, I was exposed to food cultures and design aesthetics from various places, which gave me a deeper understanding of integrating multiculturalism and respecting local characteristics. This travel experience prompted me to introduce the landscape features of Alishan into the restaurant's exterior design. Incorporating local wood and natural elements, this design not only presents the essence of Japanese cuisine culture, but also reflects the characteristics of Taiwan's local culture. In addition, the experience during the trip made me realize that design is not only about aesthetics, but also about how to resonate with the local environment and society. In the Ukiyoe restaurant, I took inspiration from Japan's "shade" aesthetics and combined it with the local natural environment to create a dining space that has both the sophistication of Japanese cuisine and local characteristics. In summary, studying in Argentina and my global travel experience have made me pay more attention to cultural integration and spatial fluidity when interpreting Japanese food culture, and apply these concepts to design to create a restaurant with local characteristics. , cultural background and environmentally friendly and sustainable modern restaurant space.

The design of the Ukiyoe Restaurant is an innovative example of integrating tradition and modernity, embodying the harmonious unity of form and function. While retaining the original architectural cultural elements, this project uses reinforcement techniques to improve the stability of the building structure, demonstrating The core concept of "sustainable" design not only reflects responsibility for the environment, but also the trend of resource reuse and sustainable development in contemporary restaurant design. In addition, the architectural appearance is integrated with the local natural landscape, showing the shape of Alishan through the wood grain aluminum louvers, combining Taiwanese local culture with Japanese food culture, creating a spatial atmosphere of multicultural integration. The "Ukiyo-e" wallpaper and cultural elements inside the restaurant allow guests to experience a cultural journey while savoring delicious food, enhancing the sensory experience of the restaurant. Finally, the interactive design between chefs and customers shortens the distance between each other through dual tracks, breaks the traditional space boundaries, and creates a more social and interactive dining environment. Generally speaking, Ukiyo-e restaurant design breaks through the boundaries of contemporary restaurant design and brings new ideas and inspiration to future space design.

The translucent partitions and lantern lighting of the Ukiyoe restaurant play a vital role in the space, creating a rich and varied dining experience. These elements are not only visual decoration, but also the key to embodying the restaurant's design philosophy. .First of all, the use of translucent partitions creates soft boundaries for space division, while maintaining a sense of openness, allowing the flow and interaction between different areas to become natural and smooth. This design method breaks the traditional spatial boundaries and avoids a sense of occlusion. , allowing guests to enjoy the dining process in different atmospheres. Each area has different visual effects and privacy, thereby providing guests with a more personalized experience. The diverse designs of lanterns and light changes enhance the diversity and dynamics of the atmosphere. The intensity, color and projection of the light will change with the time and dining process. This design allows the restaurant to show different appearances at different times, creating a warm and private atmosphere. It can also create an open and relaxed dining environment, which not only enhances the customer's sensory experience, but also makes every meal full of surprise and freshness. The synergy of these elements makes the spatial atmosphere in the restaurant rich in layers and provides a flexible environment according to different needs, thus greatly improving the customer's dining experience.

The success of Ukiyoe Restaurant lies in its ability to skillfully integrate local cultural elements with international catering concepts to create a story-telling and attractive dining space. This not only demonstrates the designer's deep understanding of local culture, but also It also reflects the need for both tradition and innovation in modern catering design. I think this project will have a profound impact on future catering design, especially in how to coordinate local traditions with global catering concepts.First of all, this plan successfully integrates Alishan’s natural landscape and Taiwan’s local cultural elements into the design, while maintaining the cultural background and essence of Japanese cuisine. This design approach not only emphasizes locality, but also respects and presents international cuisine. Culture provides valuable reference for future catering design. The local natural landscape and historical culture can become a source of inspiration for restaurant design, and combined with modern international food culture, such a design will better attract customers from different cultural backgrounds.Secondly, Ukiyoe Restaurant breaks through the boundaries of traditional Japanese restaurants through innovative architectural design and space planning, raising its design concept to a new level. In the future, such designs may influence more restaurants to integrate local cultural elements into global dining experiences, thereby creating more restaurants with unique charm and cultural depth.Overall, the design of Ukiyoe Restaurant successfully provides an example for future catering design, how to seek a balance between local traditions and international food concepts in the context of globalization, and achieve cross-border integration of cultures. Such a design not only It can attract more international guests, enhance local cultural identity, and create new directions for future restaurant design.

22 November 2024 · The Mountain Residential House

In this project, the majestic landscape of Alishan is the core of inspiration for the design. We hope that the building is not only a simple living space, but also an expression of harmonious symbiosis with the natural landscape. Using mountain dwellings as a metaphor for Alishan architecture, we deliberately emphasize the architectural form It captures the ups and downs of the mountains and uses natural images to guide the design concept. It attempts to incorporate elements such as mountains, wind, trees, and clouds into the building, making the building itself a part of nature.During the specific design process, we chose to imitate the appearance of a ridgeline, making the outline of the building undulate like a mountain, creating a sense of hierarchy, and used a variety of natural materials to symbolize the natural landscape. For example, the main wall is made of Different depths of natural stone add richness of texture and color, making it more vital and creating a deep connection with the Alishan landscape. The design of French casement windows provides residents with mountain views in all seasons, and Low-e glass is selected to reduce the entry of solar heat, maintain a comfortable indoor temperature, and meet environmental protection requirements. At the same time, the application of glass in the space is also cleverly arranged. : Through the separation of transparent materials, we expanded the view of the living area and sleeping area, creating a sense of openness but still retaining privacy. This way of integrating the concept of mountains into the architectural design makes every corner full of nature, especially the dining area, where the custom-made wooden tables and the rich application of stone make the space atmosphere natural and simple. Our design not only pays attention to the beauty and function of the space, but also creates an emotional connection between the residents and the natural landscape. Every detail reflects the concept of harmonious coexistence with nature, making the building like a part of Alishan, vividly integrated into the mountain forest, giving residents a peaceful and comfortable living experience.

In this mountain residential project, the commitment to environmental sustainability comes mainly from a deep respect for and awareness of the protection of the natural landscape. Alishan’s majestic scenery and rich ecosystem are the most precious resources in themselves, so we wanted the building to coexist harmoniously with the natural environment rather than burden it. The choice of low-emissivity (Low-e) glass is to achieve this goal. It can effectively reduce heat transfer inside the building, reduce air conditioning and energy consumption, and ensure that residents enjoy indoor comfort in different seasons. This material also protects the health of residents, reduces direct exposure to western sunlight, and allows natural light to flow softly into the space, achieving a bright and warm effect without bringing too much heat energy. In addition, the transparency of low-emissivity glass also ensures the integrity of the field of view, allowing residents to enjoy the changing scenery of Alishan at any time, thus enhancing their connection with nature.Through such material selection, we not only want to achieve the energy-saving effect of the building, but also hope to convey a sustainable lifestyle to the residents. This is not only an environmental consideration, but also a commitment to the future. We believe that allowing residents to live in such an environment will not only feel comfortable and beautiful, but also cultivate a care and protection for nature. This is our in-depth understanding and practice of sustainable design concepts.

In this design project, we used the natural stone wall as the core element to introduce the natural beauty of Alishan. It not only serves as a visual connection, but also profoundly expresses the harmonious symbiosis between architecture and nature. The design of the stone wall is inspired by the majestic ridge of Alishan. Lines and layers of mountains, from material selection to detail presentation, we use multi-layered natural stone to give the wall a rich variety of shades, just like the natural texture of the mountain, making it an important focus in the living space.Technically, in order to achieve the stability and beauty of the stone wall, the team is particularly meticulous in the selection and arrangement of the stone. Through precise installation processes, we ensure that the texture and color of each stone achieve the ideal effect, so that it will Different visual levels are shown in the changes of light and shadow. Structurally, in order to ensure the load-bearing capacity of the wall, we chose the SRC structure, which not only improves the earthquake resistance, but also makes the wall stronger and more durable.Artistically, we hope that this stone wall can capture the magnificence and depth of Alishan’s natural landscape, so that residents can feel the natural atmosphere of Alishan indoors. Careful lighting design allows the stone to display different atmospheres as the light changes, making the entire space attractive during the day and night. This not only adds to the artistry of the space, but also satisfies the residents’ desire for natural emotions.

My experience living in Argentina has enriched my understanding of multicultural design, which is clearly reflected in the design of The Mountain. Argentina’s open space, sunshine and lifestyle inspired me to create an open and private atmosphere in the design, and Connecting people and nature more closely, for me, this building is not only a residence, but also a symbol of the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. In this project, I used Argentinian and oriental design aesthetics, combining Argentina’s open space with Alishan’s natural inspiration to create a living space that coexists harmoniously with nature. Especially through the selection of natural materials and the guidance of sight lines, I hope to make residents feel the peace of the East and the tolerance of the West, thus bringing a unique living experience. The international perspective I adopt in my design not only provides architectural It injects cultural narrative and gives it a special meaning of connecting East and West.

In designing a mountain home, we faced significant engineering challenges in achieving long-span roofs while capturing the natural landscape of Alishan. Optimizing the clock strategy finally overcomes these problems.First of all, we use SRC (steel-reinforced concrete) structure to enhance the building's gravity-bearing and earthquake-resistant capabilities, which is extremely important in low-altitude areas prone to earthquakes and ensures the support of the overall structure. Building materials not only reduce the overall burden, but also make the appearance of the building lighter, forming a harmonious visual connection with the natural environment. In terms of design, in order to make the roof fit with the ridgeline of Alishan, we simulated the natural ups and downs to give the roof a natural and smooth shape. We used digital modeling and structural analysis tools to conduct multiple simulations and continuously elaborated the design. , ensuring that every detail meets the dual requirements of safety and beauty. The hidden drainage system can effectively guide the return of rainwater to avoid overall impact on the structure and increase roof failure. These innovative designs not only perfectly present the natural beauty of Alishan, but also provide scaffolding protection for the building to enjoy long-term quality of life.

In the design of the mountain house, we integrated the dual uses of exhibition space and storage function. This innovative approach comes from our deep thinking about the versatility of living space. Such a design not only solves the needs of space use, but also enriches the space. It improves residents’ daily life experience and makes the home environment more personalized and artistic. We believe that modern homes should have both aesthetics and practicality, so we designed a cabinet that can both display collections and provide storage space. These designs cleverly combine functionality and aesthetics without taking up too much space. Allowing residents to display their collections of art, souvenirs or daily items not only adds to the warmth of the family atmosphere, but also allows the residents' personal tastes to be reflected. Each display area has been carefully planned to match the different properties of the items. size for flexible adjustment and storage. In addition, such a design can also improve the utilization of space, avoid the accumulation of clutter, and keep the home clean and orderly. With the emergence of display space, residents can adjust and replace the displayed items at any time, so that the home environment can change with the seasons or changes. Mood changes, keeping things fresh and dynamic. This design method not only meets the actual storage needs, but also brings visual pleasure and encourages residents to display the beautiful moments or hobbies in their lives, further enhancing the richness and personalization of the living experience.Overall, this dual-purpose storage space design, by combining display and storage functions, not only improves the functionality of the residence, but also enables residents to enjoy more artistic atmosphere and humanistic care in their daily lives, making the space and People's emotions and tastes are closely connected.

In the design of this mountainous residence, the introduction of water features not only enhances the visual beauty, but also effectively enhances the functions of privacy protection and temperature regulation. As a landscape element, water features are closely integrated with the surrounding natural environment and architectural forms to create a A harmonious and multiple-benefit space experience.First of all, water features play a positive role in protecting privacy. The setting of pools, streams or small water features effectively separates the house from the external environment, forming a soft barrier. The reflection and flow of the water surface provide a visual buffer zone for the residents, making it difficult for the outside world to enter directly. This enhances privacy inside the home, and the sound and flow of the water feature also creates a private and quiet atmosphere, allowing residents to better enjoy time alone. In terms of temperature regulation, water features help reduce the temperature of the surrounding air, especially in hot summer. The water surface can reflect sunlight and take away the surrounding heat through evaporation, forming a natural cooling effect. This not only keeps the interior of the house comfortable It also helps to improve air quality and provide fresh airflow, thereby reducing reliance on energy consumption such as air conditioning. This natural and effective way not only helps improve the quality of life, but also plays an important role in environmental protection. The design of the waterscape complements the surrounding mountain environment, so that the ecological function of the house is not limited to aesthetics, but also enhances the comfort and sustainability of the overall living environment. It not only improves privacy and temperature regulation, but also introduces natural elements into daily life , forming a living experience that is closely integrated with nature.

"The Mountain" won the A' Design Bronze Award, which is a strong affirmation of its innovative architectural approach, which regards architecture as a part of nature, rather than just being in nature. Create a space that coexists harmoniously with nature. In addition, as the global demand for environmentally friendly and sustainable buildings grows, we have incorporated advanced environmentally friendly technologies into our designs. These designs not only demonstrate the coordination between architecture and the environment, but also set an example for future residential design, demonstrating Learn how to reduce the burden on nature while maintaining beauty. Finally, this project reminds us that future residential design should pay more attention to the balance between human needs and the natural environment. It provides inspiration for future residential design and has positive guiding significance for contemporary and future designers.

In the design of The Mountain Residential House, we focused on creating a space that blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, maximizing visual connectivity to the natural landscape while ensuring residents’ privacy. Central to this strategy is the balance of openness and privacy, achieved through careful layout and material selection.First of all, we use a lot of glass materials, especially in large-area windows and glass walls, so that residents can connect with the external natural landscape at any time. The design of French casement windows not only provides an unobstructed view , also allows residents to easily open windows and enjoy fresh air, enhancing the sense of connection between indoors and outdoors. However, rather than relying solely on glass to create visual transparency, we used glass partitions in key areas to separate living and private areas, such as the glass wall design between the living and sleeping areas, which maintains To create a sense of open space and effectively protect privacy, these glass partitions are treated with opaque or frosted effects, so that while providing visual connectivity, they can still block the direct line of sight to the outside world and protect the private space of the residents. In addition, we deliberately heighten the buildings and walls in the landscape design, and introduce water feature elements, which not only provide a visual barrier for the interior, but also help create a sense of privacy. The design of the water feature not only enhances the overall aesthetic effect, but also It can help adjust the indoor microclimate and further improve living comfort. In this design, the interior blends seamlessly with the natural landscape outside, while ensuring privacy and comfort for residents. This balance of indoor and outdoor circulation provides residents with a living space that is both open and private.

In the design process of "The Mountain", sustainability and the lifestyle needs of residents are the core elements of our design. We believe that sustainability is not only an environmental responsibility, but also the key to creating a high-quality living experience. And it can be seamlessly integrated with the needs and habits of the residents. For this reason, we carefully selected every element in the design to not only meet the requirements for comfort and aesthetics, but also maximize environmental benefits.First of all, when it comes to material selection, we give priority to sustainable resources. For example, we use local natural stone and logs. These materials not only comply with the local ecological environment, but also reduce the carbon footprint of long-distance transportation. In addition, all glass The materials are all made of Low-e glass, which not only effectively controls the entry and exit of heat energy, but also helps improve the energy efficiency of the building and reduce reliance on air conditioning and heating. In terms of space planning, we fully considered the residents’ desire to bring outdoor natural landscapes indoors. We made extensive use of open glass walls in the design to enhance the visual connectivity between indoors and outdoors, and used glass partitions to cleverly divide the space, ensuring privacy without losing the sense of space. A sense of openness. This design strategy not only allows residents to enjoy ample exposure to natural light, but also reduces the need for artificial lighting and achieves energy savings. In addition, the design of water features is also one of the manifestations of sustainability. It not only adds to the aesthetic value of the living space, but also helps to adjust the indoor and outdoor microclimate, further improving living comfort and reducing energy demand.Overall, the design of "The Mountain" achieves a harmonious balance between residents' needs and environmental responsibility, creating a living space that is both sustainable and in line with modern lifestyles.

Grand Interview

22 November 2024 · Corner Paradise Interior Design

In the interior design of " Corner Paradise", we challenged the thinking of traditional urban architecture, especially on such a single corner lot, to create a unique "interior landscape" space havenFirst, we introduced the concept of front and back yards into the core area of the building, and introduced traditional external gardens and water features into the internal atrium. The influence of external environment. In addition, this design also redefines the boundaries between private and social spaces. It improves the sense of security of residents and allows people to enjoy a private life while also meeting the needs of gathering with friends and family. This design concept blurs the boundaries between private and social, pushing the "humanized" design of urban architecture to a new level.

By integrating a three-story atrium with greenery and water features, the design of " Corner Paradise " creates a haven of tranquility in a noisy urban environment, which has a significant positive impact on the acoustics and mental health of residents.First of all, this atrium design combines rich greenery and water features to build a natural "acoustic barrier", which simultaneously stimulates the noise of young children and reduces indoor echoes, making the overall environment more peaceful and pleasant. From a mental health point of view, the natural elements in the atrium are not only a visual enjoyment, but also have a calming and adjusting effect on emotions, allowing you to break away from the busyness of the city and find a breathing space for sleep. In short, this design not only improves the acoustics of the building, but also improves mental health, making the "secret corner" an ideal home where the whole body can relax.

In the design of " Corner Paradise ", we chose natural elements such as fair-faced concrete and cedar as core materials. This combination creates an elegant and harmonious aesthetic balance for the space, making the whole body exquisite and low-key, making people feel like they are in the city. A place of silence. The material palette is inspired by the "power of tranquility." We hope to create a simple and calm space in a busy urban environment, where people can relax and sleep, and make the building a comfortable "haven" in a low-key manner. Bring out the warmth and comfort. In addition, the selection of these materials also emphasizes the respect and protection of sustainability and environmental protection concepts. This kind of material combination not only achieves an aesthetic balance, but also creates a calm and peaceful living space for residents, allowing people to achieve true peace of mind in the hustle and bustle of the city.

In the design of " Corner Paradise ", the perspective layout strategy is designed to balance privacy protection and the introduction of natural light through the planning mentioned above, creating a living space that is both exposed and open. Taking into account sight lines and vistas within the urban context, ensuring residents are able to find the ultimate boundary between occlusion and connection to the outside world. , bright and vibrant indoor atmosphere, and enhance residents’ perception and closeness to the natural environment. This kind of design not only changes the daily life patterns of the residents, but also greatly improves the overall quality of life. Maintaining harmony with nature, "Secret World at the Corner" not only provides a safe and comfortable living environment, but also creates a harmonious way of living, allowing people to find the peace of home and warmth in the noisy city. Making " Corner Paradise " a unique haven in the modern city.

When designing the interior of " Corner Paradise ", my Argentinian experience had an inevitable impact on the spatial layout and the integration of cross-cultural design elements. This not only reflects the humanized design concept, but also reflects the integration of cultures. The natural landscape and colorful culture of Argentina also provided me with inspiration, which made the design pay more attention to the use of color, so that each space has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, so that residents can relax at the same time in the busy urban life. Light relaxation and calmness. Most importantly, the Argentinian love of outdoor living led me to place a special emphasis on the balance between privacy and relaxation when designing private relaxation areas. To sum up, the experience in Argentina gave me a deep understanding of the cultural background behind space design, which confirmed that when creating an ideal living space, I pay more attention to providing a diverse environment where I can relax and enjoy social interaction.

In the " Corner Paradise Interior Design " project, the impact of environmental factors on design decisions is reflected in many aspects. These considerations not only meet the needs of sustainable development, but also improve the quality of life of the residents. In terms of material selection, we mainly use sustainable materials such as wood chips, which not only reduces the need for new resources, but also fulfills our commitment to environmental protection. The design fully considers the introduction of natural light, and the comfort and sense of comfort also help reduce weight. In terms of ventilation and comfort, we adopt an open layout to promote natural ventilation, reduce reliance on air conditioning, and create a fresh and healthy living environment. Finally, our design concept not only focuses on the needs of residents, but also emphasizes responsibility for society and the environment, striving to actively promote a sustainable living style while achieving aesthetics.

In " Corner Paradise Interior Design", the lighting design adopts a people-centered concept, taking the needs of the residents as the core of the design. We fully considered the introduction of natural light in the design, using large windows and openings to let natural light shine in the room and reduce the need for artificial light sources. In addition, the lighting design achieves a balance between functionality and aesthetics, and also reflects the atmosphere of the space. The most important thing is that research shows that appropriate lighting can effectively improve the emotional and psychological comfort of residents. Therefore, we propose to select suitable light sources to enhance the residents’ life benefits, thus providing practical lighting functions for the residents. It also enhances the harmony and vitality of the overall space.
