How did you become a designer?
When I was little, I wanted to be a toy store, a florist, and a school teacher. I continued to study design while obtaining an art teacher's license at university. During that time, I noticed that I was interested in items around children, and I started to specialize in learning toys and interiors for children. I have loved stuffed animals since I was a child, and I design designs that make the most of my own characteristics.
What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?
Okinawa, where I live, is an island rich in nature, so I often create works inspired by nature.
I also like to communicate through mockups and prototypes.
Who is your favourite designer?
The designer I admire the most is Ettore Sottsass.
