About Guo Fan Καλλιτεχνική Εγκατάσταση, Κοσμήματα

Το Guo Fan είναι μια καλλιτεχνική εγκατάσταση σε συνδυασμό με καλλιτεχνικά κοσμήματα, βασισμένη στην κουλτούρα των εμβασμάτων των υπερπόντιων Κινέζων. Το έργο μελετά την ιστορία των κατοίκων του Chaozhou που ταξίδεψαν στη Νοτιοανατολική Ασία για να βιοποριστούν. Μια αμφίδρομα συνδεδεμένη ατρακτοειδής δομή περιστρέφεται συνεχώς, έτσι οι ιστορικές σκηνές επικαλύπτονται δίχως τέλος. Τα κομμάτια κοσμημάτων ακολουθούν την ιδέα των τεμαχίων της ιστορίας, και κάθε κομμάτι προσδίδει στον φορέα του έναν διαφορετικό ρόλο εντός της ίδιας αφήγησης. Χρησιμοποιούνται ορείχαλκος, ανοξείδωτος χάλυβας, αλουμίνιο, ρητίνη και ακρυλικό, διαμορφωμένα με λέιζερ κοπής και τρισδιάστατη εκτύπωση.

Unique Properties: Researching the important Chaozhou overseas Chinese culture in Chaoshan, excavating the history of Chaozhou overseas Chinese who went to the Southeast Asia to make a living. In order to more experimentally explore the historical facts of the "Overseas Fragrance" and the "Guo Fan", this work is expressed and displayed by means of an art installation derived from art jewelry and a more holistic art design.To pay tribute to the ancestors of Chaoshan who traveled far and wide.

Design Challenge: The most important and difficult part of this project is to sort out the historical facts of " culture of overseas Chinese remittance " and turn it into an art work to show to people through design, so that people can understand it .
Research: The theme of this project is "culture of overseas Chinese remittance", with the close relationship between Chaozhou wood carving and overseas Chinese remittance as the development line. Through reading and combing a large number of literature and books, fieldwork visits, etc., the inherent cultural stories are unearthed, and the stories are patterned and combined with dynamic installations to tell the memories of overseas Chinese remittance through jewelry. Aiming to pass on and spread Chaoshan culture.
Inspiration: Chaozhou gold lacquer wood carving are typical representatives of Chaoshan culture. Among them, the shrine is an important object of expression of this skill. Furthermore, it is the carrier of Chaozhou clan concept. Chaoshan were adhered to the special traditional culture of both continental and maritime, to make a living in Southeast Asia by Guo Fan. The culture of overseas Chinese remittance links the families at home and abroad, and plays a huge role in the development of their hometowns.
Project Duration: The project started in October in Guangzhou and finished in May 2021 in Guangzhou Guangdong province, China, and was exhibited in Guangzhou academic of fine arts in June 2021.
Operation Flow: The installation works by the historical facets of "culture of overseas Chinese remittance" and "Guo Fan" overlap infinitely through the continuous turning of the two-way linkage spindle structure.

And the jewelry is based on the concept of "slices of history", transforming the wearer into the protagonist of the historical fragments and experiencing the story of each slice.When the wearer wears different parts of the jewelry, he or she will be transformed into different roles. They are both in the same slice of historical story.
