Το Sway είναι ένας τρόπος να εξερευνήσετε τον δικό σας ρυθμό και μοτίβα. Παρατηρώντας και ανακαλύπτοντας αυτές τις περιστασιακές ασυνείδητες κινήσεις, έχει σημειωθεί ότι οι άνθρωποι μερικές φορές παρουσιάζουν ασυνείδητες συμπεριφορές, όπως το λίκνισμα, όταν εισέρχονται σε μια κατάσταση ψυχικής ροής. Με την ενσωμάτωση ενός εκκρεμούς κάτω από το κάθισμα, αξιοποιείται το ύψος και η μοναδική αίσθηση που προσφέρει ένα σκαμπό μπαρ. Παρέχει σταθερότητα και ελεγχόμενο λίκνισμα μικρής κλίμακας που επιτρέπει στους χρήστες να εξερευνήσουν και να βρουν τον δικό τους ρυθμό. - A way to explore your own rhythm and patterns.
By leveraging the height and the unique sensation that a bar stool provides, incorporating a pendulum beneath the seat. Sway provides stability and controlled, small-scale rocking that allows users to explore and find your own rhythm and patterns. With its high bar stool design and rocking motion, Sway promotes a calming and contemplative state of mind. - Dimensions & Packaging

- Design Challenge
- The production process involves traditional tube bending and handmade welding, but transforming unconscious behavior and mental flow into objects is the longest and most thoughtful part of the entire creative process.
- Research
- Inspired by the observation and discovery of people's occasional unconscious behavior of rocking, research has found that it has a similar function of "awakening" the brain, promoting cognitive thinking ability, increasing blood flow, and inducing a state of mental flow. From this intriguing phenomenon, the concept was transformed into the design of an object, particularly a bar stool, utilizing the unique sensation brought by the bar stool to create a high rocking chair. The chair aims to evoke a relaxed atmosphere and aid in achieving a state of focused thinking.
Subsequently, the center of gravity was tested to determine the appropriate proportions of length and weight distribution. Once the size was defined, the design was conceived, and PVC water pipes were heated to create the model of the chair frame ,and size adjustments. Finally, surface treatment was applied. - Inspiration
- Through observing and discovering these occasional unconscious movements, it has been noted that people sometimes exhibit unconscious behaviors, such as rocking, when entering a state of mental flow. This fascinating phenomenon has inspired me to transform it into a design object.
- Project Duration
- The project lasts for one semester and takes place at Shih Chien University.
