About Line Rings Anillo
Line Rings es una colección de nueve anillos concebida para resaltar la interacción entre quien los lleva y la joya. Una esfera móvil situada en el interior de cada anillo se desliza a lo largo de un riel y ofrece una respuesta a través del sonido, la vibración y la rotación. La colección se inspiró en el laberinto y en la arquitectura geométrica. Las estructuras de múltiples segmentos crean recorridos variados para la esfera. Los anillos se producen mediante impresión tridimensional y fundición a la cera perdida en latón con baño de plata. Cada anillo mide aproximadamente 4 por 4 por 4 centímetros.

- Unique Properties
- This project is a collection of nine rings that are designed to highlight the interaction between wearer and jewelry. The moveable sphere inside the ring provides feedback to the wearer through sounds, vibration, and rotation.

- Design Challenge
- Precious measuring. After experimenting with different 3D printed materials, I limit the thickness of the wire to 1.2mm, with a 6mm gap in between the rail to ensure the sphere flow constantly in the ring. It is hard to calculate the measurement in a 3D form.
- Inspiration
- The Line Collection was inspired by the labyrinth and geometric architectures. The moveable sphere inside slides in various directions along the track, while diverse multi-segment structures bring greater possibilities to the trajectory of the ball. I utilized 3D CAD techniques to bring precision and higher complexity in creating perfect line construction in small scale rings.
- Project Duration
- The project started in September 2019 in Savannah, GA, and finished in March 2020.
