About Lu Silla

Muchas veces la gente necesita poder guardar objetos, quizás para hacer espacio, quizás para limpiar la casa y a veces incluso para llevárselos consigo, pero sobre todo para muebles de cierto nivel siempre es muy difícil. Así nació "Lu", una silla de comedor apta para diferentes tipos de público. El diseño es innovador y elegante al mismo tiempo y el nombre "Lu" deriva de "equipaje" por su facilidad para ser resellable y transportable donde quieras (durante una mudanza, en una casa de vacaciones, etc).

Unique Properties: The idea was to create a beautiful chair but at the same time that was easily transportable wherever you want and in case of limited space that it was also stowable.
Dimensions & Packaging: 540 mm x 520 mm x 840 mm, package dimension: 580 mm x 540 mm x 200 mm

Production Technology: mold for plywood, tongue in hard rubber, legs in cut and folded metal, plywood back also milled for details.
Design Challenge: The part that I always think is the most difficult in design is to design something that is beautiful and useful, but that is recognizable in the good sense of the word.
Research: Many times we find ourselves having to put away objects, perhaps to make room, perhaps to clean the house and sometimes even to take them with us, but above all for furniture of a certain level it is always very difficult. This is where "Lu chair" was born, a dining chair suitable for different types of target, from the most elegant and sophisticated with an eye to detail but also to a younger, fashion-conscious audience. The design is innovative and elegant at the same time and the name "Lu" derives precisely from "luggage" because of its ease of being resealable and transportable wherever you want (during a move, in a holiday home, etc ...).
Inspiration: The inspiration came to me from the fact that there are no chairs on the market, in my opinion with an attractive design and easily transportable and by easily transportable I mean just like a suitcase.
Project Duration: The project started in February 2021 in Padova and finished in March 2021 in Padova.
Operation Flow: This chair can be easily folded to be taken anywhere, on vacation, in another home etc .. both the backrest and the legs fold and join together with a rubber strap, which will be used as a handle.
