About Quattro Jardín inteligente de interior

Quattro es un jardín inteligente de interior para cultivar plantas en casa. El diseño consta de tres partes: una base de agua de cerámica esmaltada, cuatro macetas de terracota sin esmaltar y una lámpara de cultivo sobre una estructura metálica. El agua atraviesa lentamente la terracota microporosa, de modo que las raíces toman solo la cantidad que necesitan. El método sigue el principio de la olla, una antigua técnica de riego, y permite una autonomía de agua de hasta dos semanas. La lámpara emplea diodos emisores de luz hortícolas con un temporizador programado en doce horas encendido y doce horas apagado. La forma se inspira en los jardines cerrados de los claustros medievales.

Unique Properties: Quattro is a ceramic smart garden with the best light for plants.
We use an ancestral and very effective and 100% natural irrigation system, the “OLLA”. The oldest known traces were found in China 4,000 years ago. Ancient Rome also used this technique. Thanks to the use of micro-porous terracotta, the roots draw the quantity of water necessary for their needs. In this way, the water shock is avoided and plant growth is harmonious. In addition, reduction in water consumption with a water autonomy of up to 2-3 weeks.
In addition, Quattro is provided of a special Grow lamp with an integrated timer that reproduces sun sequence.
With this eco smart garden you can literally grow almost every type of plants indoor with a GREEN technology.

Production Technology: Quattro is composed by three parts: the glazed ceramic container for water, four unglazed terracotta vases and the grow lamp. The investigation done around terracotta with the right ratio between dimensions and porosity, allowed to obtain the best natural system for growing plants at home.
Inspiration: The design is inspired by the hortus conclusus, a feature from medieval cloisters.
The aim of that project was to connect our present to the past, through the discovery of ancient traditions.
Project Duration: The project started in 2018 between Paris and Treviso. After a long process of validation is now available the 2.0 version on our e-commerce.
Operation Flow: Quattro redefines the interaction between human beings and the healing power of plants with an easy-to-use tools, including eco-design, green technology and botanical innovation. With Kigarden’s products everyone can discover the extraordinary restorative power of nature, “growing its own wellness” literally in a funny and fascinating way.
