About Hyatt Centric Gaoxin Xi'an Mural Arte

Con una extensión de 61 metros de longitud y 5 metros de altura, estos murales encarnan el tema "El Susurro de la Seda y el Canto de los Caballos". Representan artísticamente los orígenes históricos de la Ruta de la Seda y la rica ciudad cultural de Xi'an a través de una perspectiva contemporánea. La primera sección del mural, que semeja una cabeza de dragón abstracta, se inspira en un motor. El segundo segmento presenta tres caballos dinámicos inspirados en el caballo del ejército de terracota, el caballo de jade y la escultura de caballo en piedra de Xi'an, simbolizando las tres dinastías que establecieron su capital en Xi'an.

Unique Properties: The giant murals at Hyatt Centric Gaoxin Xi’an stand out as the hotel's premier art attraction. Stretching 61 meters in length and rising 5 meters in height, these murals embody the theme of "The Whisper of Silk and The Song of Horses." They artistically depict the historical origins of the Silk Road and the culturally rich city of Xi’an through a contemporary lens.

Inspiration: The first section of the mural, resembling an abstract dragon head, draws inspiration from an engine. The second segment showcases three dynamic horses inspired by the terracotta army horse, jade horse, and horse stone carving in Xi’an, symbolizing the three dynasties (Qin, Han, Tang) that established their capital in Xi’an. The strokes within the circles are not arbitrary; they are derived from the cursive script of calligraphy master Zhang Xu during the Tang dynasty. This artwork illuminates the entire architecture designed by Japanese architect Kuma Kengo, embodying the essence of the Hyatt Centric brand: "To explore."
Project Duration: The project started in December 2019 and finished in December 2023 in Xi'an.
