About Renai Art Lab Diseño interior de aula

Renai Art Lab es un aula de arte renovada para estudiantes escolares. El espacio de 75 metros cuadrados se divide en una zona de escenario y una zona docente. El escenario permite que los alumnos presenten sus trabajos en lugar de limitarse a asistir a las clases. Detrás del escenario, un módulo amarillo ofrece almacenamiento y un nicho donde los niños pueden leer y explorar. La zona docente está pintada en rojo ladrillo para estimular el aprendizaje y la creatividad. Un gran monitor interactivo se utiliza para dibujar, realizar presentaciones y crear grafismos en movimiento. El interior se construyó mediante carpintería en madera y pintura ejecutada in situ.

Unique Properties: The space is mainly divided into a stage area and a teacher teaching area, so that students are no longer just passive participants in class, but also the focus on the stage. The space behind the stage can be used for multiple functions, with a vibrant yellow color as background. In addition to providing storage function, it can also be used as a space for children to explore and read. The teacher's teaching area uses brick red paint as the base to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning and enhance creativity.

Production Technology: Wood carpentry, in site painting
Design Challenge: The challenge of this design is to implement the aesthetic education into the classroom planning, which is choice of colors, material and texture, and geometries introduced in the space.
Research: This project is a part of renovating educational space for younger children, such as elementary, junior, and high school. The principal of design approach is to enhance student's exposure to the high aesthetic standard while learning at their school.
Inspiration: As an experimental space, we hope to change the using methods of art classrooms and use multi-faceted design techniques to make a creative platform that can be used in multiple ways. The interesting environment allows students to improve their creative thinking abilities.
Project Duration: The project started in April 2023 in Taipei and finished in September 2023.
Operation Flow: The space equipped with large size interactive monitor for the teacher to freely draw, present, and play motion graphic. The students can explore their interest in crating art, reading books, or relaxing in the arcove.
