About Deng Yun Li Art Park Parque Público

El Parque de Arte Deng Yun Li es un parque público de 40 000 metros cuadrados situado en Suzhou, China. El diseño se inspira en el paisaje natural y el patrimonio cultural de la región. Las láminas de agua en movimiento y las piedras escultóricas evocan los paisajes de los canales locales dentro de un entorno comercial contemporáneo. Un canal de agua interactivo guía a los visitantes desde el acceso hasta la plaza central, donde una escultura acuática de tres cuerpos emerge del suelo como pieza artística focal. Una pequeña galería de arte y una zona de té conforman un área más tranquila destinada al descanso.

Unique Properties: DengYunLi Art Park draws inspiration from Suzhou’s natural scenery and cultural heritage. Using flowing water features and sculptural stones, the park evokes the region’s canal landscapes while offering a contemporary urban retreat. Visitors are guided by an interactive water canal from the entrance to the central plaza, where a three-part water sculpture rises from the ground as a focal art piece. In the quieter zone, a small art gallery and tea area provide a tranquil space for relaxation.

Research: We did a series of case studies to find out the design elements that create a successful mixed-use project.
Inspiration: Inspired by the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Suzhou, DengYunLi Art Park reinterprets the city’s iconic canals through a series of water features and sunken courts. The landscape layout echoes the ancient urban fabric of Suzhou, creating layered experiences of visibility and concealment. As visitors walk through the park, views are constantly shifting, sometimes revealed, sometimes hidden, mirroring the poetic rhythm of Suzhou’s old alleyways and waterways.
