Teosest Casa de Mar Ühepereelamu
Casa de Mar on ühepereelamu Yucatanis Merida linna põhjaosas. Disain ühendab arhitektuuri ja looduse, sulandades sise- ja välisruumid. Aedu saab vaadata ja kasutada maja seest. Keskne hobuserauakujuline maht ümbritseb basseini, mis jahutab õhku vee aurustumise kaudu ja toetab loomulikku ventilatsiooni. Kohalik kivi ja puit valiti vastupidavuse, vähese hoolduse ja piirkonnaga harmoneerumise tõttu. Eraldi sissepääsud jaotavad ühiskondlikud ja privaatsed alad, tagades privaatsuse ja mugavuse.

The program included distinct social and private areas with separate entrances, ensuring privacy and comfort. Local materials like stone and wood were chosen for durability, low maintenance, and integration with the environment.
- Disainiülesanne
- The challenge was to harmoniously blend architecture with nature, integrating the interior and exterior spaces. Overcoming this required spatial planning, material selection, and elements that foster a connection with the surroundings. The climate posed another hurdle, which led to the inclusion of a central pool for natural cooling. Sourcing suitable materials that aligned with the design vision and regional context was a challenge. Ensuring privacy was also a consideration, resulting in carefully planned separate entrances and vestibules for social and private areas.
