Wanjin Azalea on brändisündmuse promotsioonikampaania kevadisele lillefestivalile Põhja-Taiwanis. 2025. aasta väljaanne, mille teemaks oli Let's Go Bloom, hõlmas kolme parki Jinshanis ja Wanlis, kattes 30 hektarit umbes 100 000 taimega. - Unique Properties
- In 2025, the festival expanded into three zones: Jinshan Zhongshan Hot Spring Park, Wanli Tourism Park, and Mazao Sports Park. Jinshan hosted the Azalea Art Museum, Taiwan's first flower art greenhouse, showcasing 22 rare varieties, landscape works, gardens, contests, and DIY events. Highlights included 'Azalea Doctor' Zhifang Liu's 20-year global cultivar research and 12 large installations by Alfie Lin and young designers. At Wanli, Dingyang Weng's 'Spring Kaleidoscope' floral bridge and Zen garden added artistry and innovation.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- Wanjin is Taiwan's largest azalea seedling region, producing over 6 million plants annually, accounting for 80 percent of national output. The festival utilized three signature locations with tourism and agricultural potential, connecting Zhongshan Hot Spring Park, Mazao Stream, and Wantan Bridge. The site layout leveraged the region's unique topography, combining floral trails with transportation nodes and production hubs-ensuring smooth circulation while showcasing authentic planting landscapes and cultivation practices.

- Production Technology
- Beyond static displays, the event offered diverse daily programming. Evening azalea light shows ran from 6:00-8:00 PM. On weekends, farmers' markets showcased local produce and cuisine. On-site DIY floral workshops allowed visitors to craft personal memories. Wanli featured a nearly 1-kilometer flower corridor planted with 23,000 azaleas. On Women's Day, a 'Floral Fun Walk' drew nearly 200 participants in themed outfits, creating the most festive and interactive moment of the event.
- Design Challenge
- The core challenge was ensuring the event transcended surface-level aesthetics. From day one, organizers considered how to give azaleas cultural depth through artistic and industrial integration. Practical challenges included flower care, crowd management, and bloom timing, requiring close coordination between farmers and designers to ensure simultaneous horticultural and visual quality.
- Research
- Unfolding in early spring, the 2025 Wanjin Azalea Festival ran from Feb 27-Mar 30 under the theme 'Let's Go Bloom.' Spanning 30 hectares and 100,000 plants, it united Jinshan and Wanli as Taiwan's most iconic coastal flower event. Featuring 22 plus azalea varieties, it blended floriculture with art: Jinshan's greenhouse museum, flower corridor, and design contest; Wanli's kaleidoscope bridge and Zen garden. DIY classes, markets, tours, and night lighting enriched experiences while advancing the Wanjin Azalea brand.
- Inspiration
- The 2025 Wanjin Azalea Festival, themed 'Let's Go Bloom,' grows from the floral heritage of Wanli and Jinshan. Merging local culture, landscapes, and agricultural renewal, it has become the North Coast's iconic spring event. Since 2021, New Taipei City has promoted the Wanjin Azalea brand to redefine the flower beyond ornament. Through horticultural expertise, art installations, competitions, scenic tours, and business partnerships, the festival positions azaleas as cultural symbols that link art, place, and industry for sustainable growth.
- Project Duration
- The project finished in March 2025 in Taiwan.
- Operation Flow
- The festival attracted families, couples, and photographers, especially to the Azalea Art Museum and the floral corridor in Jinshan. Visitors praised the thoughtful spatial layering and visual appeal, from greenhouse displays to outdoor gardens. Evening lighting further enhanced the romantic ambiance. Tied to agrotourism packages, the festival offered eco-cultural tours, boosting local business traffic. Many vendors reported a sharp increase in foot traffic and brand awareness, proving the festival's economic value.
