About Prologue in Ink Elamu sisekujundus

Prologue in Ink on elamu sisekujundus 132,2-ruutmeetrisele korterile kõrghoone kuueteistkümnendal korrusel.

Unique Properties
The home's personality is embodied in the TV feature wall and open study backdrop. The TV wall combines bold stone with titanium, glass, and leather, creating a layered, sleek facade. The study wall pairs dark display shelving with light panels, balancing rationality and curiosity. Linear lighting highlights edges, while a minimalist ceiling with grooves and negative space emphasizes the walls’ presence, giving the space refined order and dimensional focus.
Dimensions & Packaging
The 132.2 m2 16th-floor residence integrates social areas for fluid daily use. The open study connects to the living room, creating shared zones for work, reading, and interaction. Expanded kitchen storage and prep areas form a continuous axis linking living, study, dining, and kitchen spaces. The layout balances solitude and interaction, achieving both practical usability and visual refinement.

Production Technology
The palette centers on ink-toned wood veneer, preserving natural grain to reveal layered depth under reflected light. Stone, titanium, glass, and leather add material complexity, while selective warmer tones and bright finishes balance cooler hues. Linear and indirect lighting subtly defines boundaries, creating gentle grayscale transitions. The resulting interior feels composed, intellectual, and restrained, projecting refinement without coldness.
Design Challenge
Construction focused on precise interface integration and tolerance control. The TV wall demanded coordination of heavy stone, structural supports, and AV systems, balancing aesthetics, safety, and function. Study sliding cabinetry required meticulous hardware and panel alignment for a seamless façade. Flooring was corrected on-site to match the intended tone and texture, ensuring the ground plane reinforced the designed spatial atmosphere.
Research
The 132.2 m2 residence uses 'ink' as a thematic framework, combining deep wood, stone, metal, glass, and leather to filter visual noise and clarify spatial order. The living room integrates an open study for reading, work, and social interaction along a shared axis, while kitchen storage and prep are optimized. Linear lighting layers dark tones, balancing refinement and warmth. 'Ink' grounds the space, 'prologue' organizes it, and daily life becomes its expressive language.
Inspiration
'Prologue in Ink,' a 132.2 m2 high-rise residence, uses 'ink' as a design foundation, guiding materials, light, and lines with disciplined order. Daylight illuminates deep wood veneer and stone textures forming the structural framework, while metal, glass, and leather provide refined accents. The design achieves composure and gravitas, creating a space that feels present and elegant without heaviness, balancing material richness with everyday livability.
Project Duration
The project finished in June 2023 in Taiwan.
Operation Flow
Occupants' feedback most clearly emphasizes flexibility. The ink-toned environment does not feel rigid or cold. Instead, through calibrated material warmth and layered light transitions, it overturns conventional perceptions of dark interiors. In daily life, the social area can shift between calm and lively states. Whether reading alone, hosting friends, or simply reclining on the sofa, the atmosphere adapts naturally. The space maintains quality and composure without feeling formal. It understands how to allow life to enter.
