About Apex Arte Ederretako Argazkilaritza Sorta
Apex arte ederretako paisaia-argazkilaritzako sorta bat da, mendi-tontor baten forma eta ehundura organikoak aztertzen dituena. Irudiak Txinako Yunnan probintzian dagoen Jade Dragoi Elur Mendiaren gailurrean hartu ziren, 4280 metroko altueran. Arroka-eraketek ordenatutako konplexutasunaren eta soiltasunaren arteko kontrastea sortzen dute, edertasun naturalari buruzko ikuspegi ezberdin bat eskainiz. Argazkiak eskuz atera ziren kamera digital bakar batekin eta lente prime bakar batekin, eta gero digitalki prozesatu eta ukitu ziren. Apex-en helburua ikusleentzako baliabide lasai eta meditatibo bat izatea da.

- Production Technology
- This photography series was shot on a Canon 5D Mark III with an EF 135mm f/2 lens. The shots were achieved handheld and has gone through general processing in Adobe Lightroom, with detail retouching done in Adobe Photoshop.
- Design Challenge
- At the altitude of over 4000m, breathable air becomes rather thin, and this posed a challenge as it limits the amount of equipment one can carry up to the peak, as well as the amount of oxygen supply. In addition, the climate is rather unpredictable around the time of shooting, which added to the difficulty of getting decent shots. To reduce the load, the photographer opted for just one DSLR camera and two lenses, also making room for more oxygen supply, allowing for a longer shoot time.
- Research
- The scenes were captured at the peak of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Yunnan Province, China. At the altitude of 4280m, the open space offers an experience that is serene, tranquil, and breathtaking. The photography series was created with the notion of utilizing the images as a meditative medium for viewers, primarily as an escape from this age of information overflow as well as this exceptionally stressing time, which many are facing right now around the globe.
- Inspiration
- The presence of these naturally occurring megastructures leads me to reflect on the progression of human civilization, and where nature fits in to our ever-growing societies. As Andrew Warhol once stated, "Land really is the best art." These thoughts subsequently inspired me to capture the rich terrain of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Yunnan, China, with a different approach and perspective to express nature and natural landscape.
- Project Duration
- The project started in July 2020 in Lijiang, Yunnan Province, China, and was wrapped up in December 2020 in Shanghai, China.
- Operation Flow
- This photograph series aims to establish a 'pure' and 'serene' atmosphere, allowing the viewers to enter a state of meditation, bring them a peace of mind, as well as appreciate the minimalistic aesthetic and gorgeous organic geographical textures that nature presents to us.
