About Momochan Japoniar Jatetxearen Barne-diseinua
Momochan Kuala Lumpurreko merkataritza-gune batean kokatutako japoniar jatetxe bat da. Barnealdeak hormigoia eta zura konbinatzen ditu ingurune minimalista batean. Aurrealdeko eta atzealdeko beira-panel zabalek argi naturalak espazioa betetzen uzten dute egunean zehar. Denda-aurreak mostrador ireki bat dauka, izozki-barra eta sukalde ireki batekin, zur-marra eta marmol berde tonu lurtar eta neutralez markatuta. Zur-marraz apaindutako etxe-formako sabai batek jangela-eremu irekia eta animaliek-onartzen dituen eremu bat lotzen ditu, beira-panelen bidez banatuta. Eserleku-bankuek eta horma marratuek osatzen dute ingurunea.

- Unique Properties
- A bright and minimal space, we make the front and back of the restaurant with big and wide glass panels which allow for great natural lighting during the daytime. The open counter at the shopfront to attract walk-by customers with the ice-cream bar and busy kitchen. Fabulous use of wood structure inside the interior adds warmth and nativity to the setting. Handmade lamps, green marble and wood stripes add textural charm to the interior that blends tradition with modernity in a seamless fashion.

- Production Technology
- The setting features traditional materials such as concrete and wood in a minimalist setting. For the entrance wall, we apply Japanese traditional wood stripes design and green marble with earthy and neutral tones materials creating an atmosphere that is distinctly modern and welcoming. A house shaped wood striped ceiling connected the both open dining and pet friendly space, ending with bench seating with keeping the strip design to the wall.
- Design Challenge
- The pet-friendly zone, we use the glass panels as divider to the both normal dining and pet-friendly dining areas. Also to solve the hygiene and noise problem to other customers.
- Research
- Especially the open ice-cream bar at the shopfront. Allowing the restaurant staffs engaging with walk-by customers, not only the ice-cream, customers are more easy to attract with the unique menu. Unlike the shops near-by in the mall, the both sides glass panels allowing natural lights fully filled in the interior space, creating a warm and welcoming space to the customers.
- Inspiration
- The design aims to evoke the feel of a tranquil getaway from the hustle and bustle outside, a place where customers are looked after with great care and, of course, with great food. And also providing a space for pet friendly corner.
- Project Duration
- The project started in November 2018 in Jaya One Mall, Kuala Lumpur and completed in February 2019.
- Operation Flow
- The open kitchen and bar aim to deliver the showcase sanitary processes and the steps taken to turn fresh, high quality ingredients into each mouthwatering meal. The customer a.k.a the chef are proud of the delicious dishes they create. Providing drama and excitement, engaging customers who appreciate the artistry of cooking.
