About Crochet Lanpara zutik

Crochet puntugintzan inspiratutako lanpara zutik bat da, apaindura-eskulanik zaharrenetako batean oinarritua. Metalezko egiturak puntua egiterakoan orratzen arteko gurutzatzea gogorarazten du, eta argi-diodo igorlezko kable malguak artilezko hariak dakartza gogora. Kable mateak obalo leun bat osatzen du, eta haren pisua eta tolestura-portaera aztertu ziren, lanpara edozein angelutatik orekatua ikus dadin. Metalezko hodiak tolesgarriak dira, eta galdaketaz egindako metalezko elementu batek erdian lotzen ditu. Lanpararen goialdean kokatuta, kableak argi leuna ematen du irakurtzeko, lan egiteko eta atseden hartzeko.

Production Technology
When developing this collection, special attention was paid to the shape of the glowing cord so that it would make an oval. For this purpose, the weight of the cord and how it bends was taken into account. The task was also to make it affordable. For this reason, metal pipes were made collapsible, and a special cast metal element was created in the middle. The LED cord was made matte to make it look better and to be tactilely pleasing.
Design Challenge
When developing the lamp, various ancient crafts were studied, since the idea of the project was to combine the ancient craft with current lighting technologies, and it so happened that when studying knitting, an association with an glowing cord arose. Thanks to this, the basis of the idea was born, which began to develop. And in the process of creating sketches, a new unique shape of the floor lamp appeared.
Research
The main task of the study was to find a new relevant form of floor lamp and in this form convey the idea of a lamp, which is inspired by an ancient craft - knitting. For this, hundreds of hand sketches were created. After the shape was determined, it was necessary to carefully simulate the lamp from all sides, since the LED cord can bend, it was very important that it looked good from any angle.
Inspiration
In the collection, it was decided to combine cultural heritage, the search for the original form and functionality. The main artistic language is the association with ancient craft, namely knitting, is one of the most ancient types of decorative art. It takes its roots in the era of antiquity. The metal construction of the floor lamp resembles the interweaving of spokes during the knitting process, and the LED flexible cord resembles woolen threads.
Project Duration
The project started in January 2023 in Moscow and finished in January 2024 in Moscow, and was exhibited in Interlight in September 2024.
Operation Flow
The light source in the floor lamp is a matte LED cord. Due to the fact that it is located at the top of the lamp, it can be used for accent lighting and for reading. It is created in the style of minimalism with a smooth oval shape of the cord. Therefore, it can be used in different interior styles. In terms of functionality, floor lamp can be used in different rooms: in the office, living room, bedroom and in public spaces.
