About Ryo Besaulkia

Ryo forma jarraitu bakar gisa moldatutako besaulkia da. Uhindurak eserlekutik bizkarraldera doaz eta etenik gabeko begizta bat sortzen dute. Diseinua altzari arrunt batek forma askeagoa har ote zezakeen galderatik abiatu zen. Hiru dimentsioko gainazal konplexua zaila zen ekoizteko, eta ehun elastikoa erabiliz lortu zen. Besaulkiak 725 milimetroko zabalera, 730 milimetroko sakonera eta 800 milimetroko altuera ditu. Oskol kurbatuak bertan esertzen den pertsona inguratzen du eta elementu eskultoriko bat gehitzen dio espazioari.

Ryo Besaulkia oso estimatua, miretsia eta maitea den objektua izatea espero da, nabarmenki profesionala eta berritzailea dena. Brontzezko Saria A' Design Award irabazi duen diseinu honek artearen, zientziaren, diseinuaren eta teknologiaren praktika onenak biltzen ditu eta xehetasunei ematen dien arretagatik bikaina da. Ryo Besaulkia beharrak bikain asetzen dituen, desirak ukitzen dituen, sentimenduak xarmatzen dituen eta jakin-mina erakartzen duen lana da.

Production Technology: Creating the shape of the tertiary surface proved extremely challenging. It was achieved by employing stretch fabric.
Design Challenge: Expressing the form of the cubic surface and realising it while utilising the engineers' skills proved extremely challenging. Through repeated discussions, we continued to seek the correct solution until completion was achieved.
Inspiration: This project began with the question: could we express the commonplace piece of furniture that is the armchair in a freer form? The idea expanded from the seat to back, the undulations creates an uninterrupted loop.

Project Duration: The project started in Apr. 2020 in Tokyo and finished in Jan. 2021 in Tokyo, and was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in June 2022.
Operation Flow: This unique chair, which adorns the space, envelops those who sit upon it. It promises an experience unlike any other.
