About Parachute قفسه دیواری
پاراشوت یک قفسه دیواری ساخته‌شده از ورق فلزی است. هنگامی که بخشی از آن مورد استفاده قرار می‌گیرد، تخته آن بخش پایین می‌آید و در جای خود آویزان می‌ماند. تخته آویزان، کت، مجله یا اقلام مشابه را نگه می‌دارد و از افتادن آن‌ها جلوگیری می‌کند. سطح آن دارای نوارهای رنگی است که با فاصله‌های باریک از هم جدا شده‌اند، به‌طوری که این قفسه ظاهر گرافیکی یک چتر نجات مدرن را تداعی می‌کند و می‌تواند به‌عنوان یک اثر هنری دیواری نیز دیده شود. پاراشوت دارای ۷۹۰ میلی‌متر عرض، ۳۰ میلی‌متر عمق و ۲۲۰ میلی‌متر ارتفاع است. نام آن، مفاهیم محافظت و سقوط را در هم می‌آمیزد.

With the colored stripes separated by thin spaces, the graphic design is reminiscent of a modern parachute; this theme is transformed, in a recognisable and aesthetically successful manner, into an original shelf design. - Design Challenge

- When listening to Coldplay's first album, it suddenly occurred to me to look up the word "Parachute."
It seems that the name "parachute" comes combining the Italian "parare" (to protect) with the French "chute" (to fall).
I thought that was a rather fine name.
I tried to think of devices that protect against falling.

- The project started in April 2017 in Tokyo and finished in October 2018 in Tokyo, and Yusuke Watanabe was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in April 2018.
