About Ocean Vista Public Toilet Renovation سرویس بهداشتی عمومی
اوشن ویستا یک پروژه بازسازی سرویس بهداشتی عمومی است که در مسیر ساحلی کولوانه، ماکائو، بر روی دامنه‌ای رو به اقیانوس واقع شده است. چیدمان داخلی بازآرایی شد و عناصر عملکردی جدیدی به سازه بتنی موجود، در همان محدوده فضایی، افزوده شد. یک سکوی مشاهده، فضای نشیمن بالکن‌مانند و یک نیمکت بلند به بازدیدکنندگان امکان می‌دهد اقیانوس را تماشا کنند و شب‌ها به رصد ستارگان بپردازند. عناصر افزوده‌شده با رنگ‌های قهوه‌ای و مایل به قرمز، الهام‌گرفته از صخره‌های معدنی‌پوش مسیر ساحلی هستند. خطوط به‌کاررفته در عناصر جدید، نور خورشید را فیلتر کرده و بازی متحرکی از نور و سایه ایجاد می‌کنند.

- Unique Properties
- Ocean Vista is a public toilet renovation project located along the coastal trail at Coloane Macau on the hillside facing the ocean. By reorganizing the interior layout and introducing new functional elements on top, the new design not only optimizes the functions of a public bathroom, but also it brings human closer to nature. By providing a viewing platform to enjoy the ocean, a balcony seating to observe the stars at night and a long bench to chill - it is an authentic public space for all.

- Design Challenge
- The challenge is to reorganize the interior spatial layout and introduce new functional elements upon existing concrete structure in the same footprint. Our goal is to convert it beyond its simple function and to subvert the perception of a typical public bathroom in Macau, which is dark, dirty, messy, and smelly.
- Inspiration
- The exterior renovation is inspired by the rocks along the coastal trail. Due to salty sea breeze, layers of minerals adhered to the surface forming very special brown and reddish rocks in this region. The new functional elements adhere to the existing structure like minerals; its form and its color echo with the rock and with the natural surroundings. The rhythm of lines that shaped the add-on features filter sunlight forming a movement of light and shadows where human meets nature.

- This project is located in Coloane Macau and is completed in May 2021 within 2 months of renovation period.
