About Scacco Matto لامپ قابل حمل
اسکاکو ماتو از جنبش طراحی رادیکال دهه 1960 الهام گرفته و مخاطبان را به کاوش و تعامل با اشکال و نور دعوت می کند. این لامپ قابل حمل که دارای سه عنصر متصل مغناطیسی است، می تواند در پنج مجسمه نوری مختلف تبدیل شود تا علاقه جدیدی به نقشی که نور در تغییر ظاهر، احساس و فضای خانه ایفا می کند، برانگیزد. می توان از آن به عنوان یک گلدان، مجسمه یا برای تمرکز نور در یک منطقه خاص استفاده کرد. پنج ترکیب ممکن یادآور شطرنج هستند، از این رو اسکاکو ماتو، ترجمه ایتالیایی مات، نامگذاری شده است.

- Unique Properties
- From atmosphere to focused light, three elements are connected by magnets to create five different settings of light. The sculptural piece is designed to inspire a new interest in how light can transform the look, feel, and atmosphere of our homes. With Scacco Matto elements, the user can create an occasional vase or a sculptural dinner light; it encourages audiences to explore and interact with shapes and light.

- Width mm 116, Depth mm 116, Height mm 281.
- Production Technology
- The head light will be produced in Aluminum and incorporate leds and a 3.7V 4400mAh-16.28wh usb rechargable battery, suitable for outdoor use (IP 64) . As seen in the last slide, the initial mockup was created in wood.
- Design Challenge
- To fit a sizable battery 4400mAh and a USB connector for the LED chip within the head. without sacrificing the overall proportions.
- Research
- The purpose of the project is to "investigate the unexpected and emotional impacts of light at home, from both direct and indirect light.
- Inspiration
- Taking inspiration from the 1960s radical design movement, the project attempts to blur the boundaries between art and design and encourages audacious investigations of color, texture, and form. The five possible combinations are reminiscent of chess, hence the name Scacco Matto, the Italian translation of checkmate.
- Project Duration
- The project started in July 2022 in Bangkok
- Operation Flow
- Five different light sculptures may be created by combining the three pieces with magnets.
