About Seaside هنر دیواری

سی‌ساید یک اثر هنری منسوجاتی دایره‌ای شکل است که برای نمایش بر روی دیوار ساخته شده است. این اثر به‌صورت دست‌ساز از نخ کتان طبیعی ضخیم تهیه شده که به‌صورت گره‌خورده در ردیف‌هایی چیده شده تا حرکت و عمق را القا کرده و موج‌های نرم و روان را تداعی کند. نخ‌ها با ترکیبی از رنگ‌ها و رنگدانه‌های طبیعی به‌صورت دستی رنگ‌آمیزی شده‌اند که پالتی آرام و خاکی با گرادیانی ظریف پدید می‌آورد. الیاف کتان در لبه پایینی برش خورده‌اند تا فرم دایره‌ای صاف و کامل شود. شکل دایره‌ای این اثر با هنر و مبلمان هندسی خط‌راست در تضاد قرار می‌گیرد. براکت‌های نصب، اثر را کمی فاصله‌دار از دیوار نگه می‌دارند. این اثر در هفت قطر مختلف، از ۵۰ تا ۱۲۷ سانتی‌متر، ارائه می‌شود.

Unique Properties: This circular, handmade textile artwork is called Seaside - the divide between land and water. The thick cotton cord is knotted in lines to add movement and depth, forming the sea's undulating waves. Hand-dyed using a unique and specialized process, the artist Rianne Aarts adds color utilizing a blend of dyes and natural pigments. This results in a calm and soothing earthy color palette with a subtle gradient.

The cotton fibers at the bottom are carefully cut, to create that smooth circular form. It's that soft round form that will make for a great contrast to typical, strong-lined geometric art or furniture, and ensures balance and harmony throughout the room.

Production Technology: Handmade using natural cotton and organic (non-toxic) dyes/pigments. Hung using mounting brackets, for a wonderful 'floating'-look.
Design Challenge: One of the creative challenges I embraced in crafting Seaside, was my determination to depart from the conventional. Instead of the typical straight-lined or square art pieces, I set out to create a round, circular artwork.

This unconventional approach came with its own set of challenges, from selecting the right materials to ensuring structural integrity. However, it was a challenge worth undertaking, as it allowed me to push the boundaries of fiber art and create a piece that truly resonates with the everlasting allure of the seaside.
Inspiration: Inspired by nature, Seaside emerged from my fascination with the enduring dialogue between land and sea. This circular fiber artwork encapsulates the timeless harmony and tension between these natural forces. Through it, I hope to evoke contemplation about the dynamic beauty of our coastlines, encouraging a deeper connection with the natural world.
