About Don Majestic Primary Function: Hotelli

Book Text: Don Majestic on hotelli Punta del Estessa, Uruguayssa. Rakennuksella on veistoksellinen, kaareva muoto, joka on saanut inspiraationsa luonnon kaarista. Kaksi kaarevaa tilavuutta muovaavat suunnittelun. Pystysuora päätilavuus on pohjaltaan elliptinen, muuttuu kooltaan jokaisella tasolla ja sisältää huoneet. Vaakasuora tilavuus sisältää aulan ja kahvilan. Hotelli on 54 metriä korkea, siinä on 19 kerrosta ja 52 huonetta. Yksi keskeinen pilari rakennuksen ytimessä tukee rakennetta ja mahdollistaa avoimet näkymät. Kaareva lasi peittää koko julkisivun.
