About Monolithic House Yksityishuvila
Monolithic House on yksityishuvila Jeddassa. Rakennus koostuu kolmesta päämassasta, jotka on siirretty toisiinsa nähden ulkopihojen luomiseksi perinteisten arabialaisten talojen sommittelun mukaisesti. Rakennuksen vaippa hyödyntää puoliläpinäkyviä säleikköjä, joiden vanha saudiarabialainen kuviointi on saanut inspiraationsa Mashrabiyasta. Moottoroitu avattava järjestelmä säätelee auringonvaloa, tarjoaa varjostusta ja yksityisyyttä eteläjulkisivulla sekä mahdollistaa luonnollisen ilmanvaihdon. Rakenne on betonia, ja pintamateriaaleina on käytetty hiottua travertiinikiveä, mustaa terästä, rappausta ja pähkinäpuuta. Erilliset sisäänkäynnit palvelevat perhettä, vieraita ja huoltotoimintoja.
