About IT Factory Toimiston sisustussuunnittelu

IT Factory on toimistotila, joka on toteutettu kunnostettuun teollisuusrakennukseen Harkovassa, Ukrainassa. Toimisto käsittää 4500 neliömetriä ja toimii ympäri vuorokauden, joten työskentelyalueet ja lepoalueet on tasapainotettu keskenään. Olemassa olevat betonirakenteet ja metalliset vinotuet säilytettiin ja niitä käytettiin sisustuksen tehokeinoina. Toisen kerroksen kaksinkertaisen korkuinen tila lisää työpisteitä säilyttäen samalla tilaa levolle. Uudet ilmanvaihto-, lämmitys- ja ilmastointijärjestelmät jäävät näkyviin osana sisustusta. Kirkkaat, harkitut väritehosteet välttävät yksitoikkoisuuden.

Production Technology
Renovation of any old premises, as a rule, involves significant alterations of the engineering part. And this is one of the most difficult parts of the entire construction process. It is known that objects built during the Soviet era do not have modern ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems. Thus, the new engineering networks have become an additional element of the space.
Design Challenge
The most challenging in this project was deciding which construction to leave as it is, restorate or demolish. It was a priority to preserve the existing structures so that they could be used in the interior - for example, metal knee brace. But still some constructions required complete restoration - the walls of the second and third floors were built again. Using engineering systems and constructions allowed to create office identity and turn obstacles to advantage.
Inspiration
The main interest and inspiration for the studio is the very essence of the renovation project - the restoration of an empty space of an industrial building and the embodiment of a new life in it through the introduction of new functions.
Project Duration
Project started in September 2020 and finished January 2021, in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Operation Flow
The main factor for the formation of space is office working hours - it is open 24/7. Such an environment has to be comfortable, thus the balance of functional zones becomes as important as it’s set. To create in open space enough working places but save room for resting zones double-height space on the second floor was developed. Choosing a colour scheme the decision was to introduce bright but carefully measured accents, which don't take all the attention.
