About Cassiopeia Veistos

Cassiopeia on lasiveistos, joka on valmistettu kierrätetystä ja teollisuuden jätelasista. Muutoin kaatopaikalle päätyvä materiaali sulatetaan ja muotoillaan uudeksi teokseksi. Jokainen kappale on suupuhallettua studiolasia, käsin muotoiltu. Karheat ja orgaaniset pinnat heijastavat skandinaavista estetiikkaa ja valoa. Jokainen lasikupu on hienovaraisesti valaistu, ja jäätä muistuttavat pinnat sulautuvat yhteen maisemamaiseksi installaatioksi. Veistoksen mitat ovat 150 x 50 x 30 senttimetriä. Tavoitteena on runollinen tulkinta kierrätetyn ja arvokkaan materiaalin välisestä kontrastista.
