House of the Breathing Void on asuinrakennus, joka on järjestetty keskusatriumin ympärille. Atrium toimii avoimena tyhjänä tilana, jossa ilma ja valo kiertävät vapaasti, muodostaen kodin ympäristöllisen ytimen. Atrium luo myös jatkuvan vuoropuhelun sisä- ja ulkotilojen välille. Talo noudattaa bioklimaattisia periaatteita, ja sen selkeä eteläsuuntaus vangitsee auringonvaloa, tukee passiivista lämmitystä ja edistää luonnollista ilmanvaihtoa. Sama suuntaus antaa rakennukselle diagonaalisen muodon, joka on vastaus sekä tilallisiin että ilmastollisiin tekijöihin.

Unique Properties: The “House of the Breathing Void” is conceived as a sanctuary of openness, a dwelling that breathes, listens, and connects. Anchored between earth and sky, the house establishes a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior, shaped by climate, light, and Mediterranean lifestyle. At its center lies an atrium, the open heart of the home, where air, light, and life circulate freely, forming both the emotional and environmental core.
Inspiration: The Atrium was the concept inspiration of the project. The house was conceived through bioclimatic principles, its geometry shaped by a clear southern orientation that captures sunlight, enhances passive heating, and invites natural ventilation. From this dual idea, the atrium and the orientation toward the sun, a diagonal gesture arose in the building’s form, a spatial and climatic response that defines its identity. Here, light becomes both material and structure, carving paths through the interior.
