About Twist House Résidence privée

The underground "cave" was the solution to the clients necessity for more living space.

- The evolution of the dwelling of the human beings, starting from the cave, passing to one level stone buildings and ending up to a light flying volume above the ground.
Main concern was to recycle the obtained ground materials, such as the stone and respecting the trees, in order to have as less impact as possible to the nature, while focusing totally to the perfect view. - Project Duration

The two stone volumes, which follow the topography of the hill, in one part are disrupted to give the most honorable place to a certain olive tree and they host the living room and kitchen in one of them and the guest room in the other. A white volume comes to bridge the two stone structures, following the ideal view towards the castle with the two independent bedrooms. A hidden outer staircase slides outside of the white volume and leads to the rooftop, which offers a 360 degree view to the visitors.
