À propos de The Engravings on Mount Yi Police de caractères expérimentale
Les Gravures du mont Yi est un projet de création typographique expérimentale inspiré des anciennes inscriptions sur pierre du mont Yi. Ces inscriptions consignent une écriture standardisée dite « petit sigillaire », employée après l'unification du système d'écriture de la Chine antique. Le projet comprend la normalisation des formes de caractères, la visualisation d'informations, la conception d'affiches ainsi qu'une expérience en réalité augmentée. L'œuvre se présente principalement sous la forme d'un site web, accompagné d'affiches imprimées et de modèles tridimensionnels. La lecture d'un code figurant sur une affiche fait apparaître le modèle en trois dimensions d'un caractère. L'objectif est de donner à voir l'écriture chinoise traditionnelle sous un jour nouveau et d'une grande clarté.
