About Command Z Conception de livre

Command Z est un ouvrage qui donne à voir la perte de mémoire provoquée par la maladie d'Alzheimer. Le livre se divise en trois parties — précoce, intermédiaire et avancée — correspondant aux stades de la maladie. Une approche graphique différente est adoptée dans chacune d'elles. Dans la première partie, un papier calque fragile évoque la vulnérabilité des patients. La partie intermédiaire fait appel à une encre thermosensible : le texte n'apparaît que lorsqu'une main se pose sur la page. Dans la dernière partie, le livre est confronté au feu, et le papier brûlé ne peut être réparé, à l'image des souvenirs perdus.

Unique Properties: In this project, the design concept is to visualise the memory loss process of patients with Alzheimer's disease in the form of a book and to combine Command Z with the love story of a couple who suffer from the disease to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease.
Production Technology: Many approaches were used in the production. For example, variable temperature inks, blank pen marks (pencil print), polaroid photos and combining the book with fire.
Inspiration: Alzheimer's disease is a progressive brain disease. While ageing, the patient's brain will gradually degenerate and seriously affect daily activities. Therefore, Alzheimer's disease has become the most common form of cognitive impairment. In the research process, I found an old couple from Taiwan who is like the old version of " A Moment of Remembrance". Even though they lost their memory due to illness, their love for each other is too deep to be changed.
Operation Flow: There are ways of interacting in this book.
Firstly, about temperature-sensitive ink. The temperature-sensitive ink can change with the temperature. When people put their hands on it, the text appears.
Secondly, to make a pen mark, you need to overlap two blank papers. Using a pencil, one writes on the top piece of paper. The paper below will leave blank handwriting; when people want to read the paper with the blank script, can scribble on the paper with the pencil to get the information shown.
