About Moon Chair Chaise à assemblage autonome
La chaise Moon est une chaise à assembler soi-même, réalisée en bois massif. Le design fait appel à l'assemblage traditionnel à tenon et mortaise, associé à des verrous en queue d'aronde. Aucun connecteur métallique n'est utilisé : la chaise Moon peut donc être montée et démontée à la main en deux ou trois étapes. Elle est fabriquée en noyer américain et façonnée par découpe du bois. Ses dimensions sont de 390 sur 340 sur 680 millimètres. Le conditionnement à plat réduit les coûts de transport et convient à la vente en ligne. Cette chaise s'adresse aux jeunes vivant dans de petits logements et déménageant fréquemment.

- Unique Properties
- The Moon Chair is made of solid wood, simple and stylish, utilizing mortise and tenon joinery for a strong visual impact. It is a high degree of integration of aesthetics and structure, the structure of the clever use of mortise and tenon joints and dovetail locks, the product itself does not have any connectors, can be disassembled and assembled with bare hands. The flat design can greatly reduce the transportation cost, which is very suitable for selling on the Internet.

- Design Challenge
- The most challenging part is the structural design. Based on the connection and self-locking function of mortise and tenon structure, a new mortise and tenon structure was innovatively designed to realize the unarmed disassembly function and firmness of the Moon Chair. Its structural form is presented in a perfect blend with modern aesthetics!
- Research
- Nowadays, the young generation has lower income, small living space, likes online shopping, moves frequently and pursues a certain quality of life. They need flexible, space-saving, easy-to-use, simple and stylish furniture to improve their quality of life. Moon Chair skillfully uses traditional mortise and tenon structure, the whole product has no metal connectors, and can be assembled and disassembled with bare hands, and the beauty of its structure well demonstrates the wisdom of the predecessors. The flat design greatly reduces transportation costs and is ideal for online sales.
- Inspiration
- The current young generation of people with low income, narrow living space, like online shopping, often moving, the pursuit of a certain quality of life. We hope to design a new mortise and tenon structure based on the traditional mortise and tenon structure, combined with the toughness of wood materials, to realize a high degree of integration of the disassembling function, firmness and aesthetics of the chair!
- Project Duration
- The project started in April 2018 in Hangzhou and finished in August 2020 in Hangzhou.
- Operation Flow
- Open the product package, and assemble the product in 2-3 steps; the operation is very convenient, you can experience the fun of assembly, and the completed product is solid and durable.
