About Meduse Sculpturele Lampe

Meduse is in sculpturele lampe ynspirearre troch marine habitats. Elk stik kombinearret Raku-keramyk mei blazen tentakels fan Murano-glês. De lampe is geskikt foar gebrûk binnen en bûten en soarget foar ljocht- en skaadwerkingen op tichteby lizzende muorren. Multykleurige LED-ferljochting kin oanpast wurde mei in ôfstânsbetsjinning. It keramyske lichem wurdt modelearre yn fjoerfêste klaai, droege, bakt, glazuere en op 'e nij bakt by 930 graden Celsius, en dêrnei noch hjit út de oven helle. De dêrtroch ûntsteande temperatuerskok soarget foar in ôfbrutsen oerflak mei metalike en iriserende reflekjes.

Production Technology
After the modelling with refractory clay, I begin a deconstruction process of the traditional shape, a 20 day long drying process begins. I go on with the first cooking at 950 degrees celsius, the glazing process and the second cooking into a Raku oven at 930 degrees celsius. The object is removed still white-hot from the oven. Arrangement of the Led lighting system and finally the insertion of the Murano blown glass tentacles.
Design Challenge
Take the pieces out of the oven at 940 degrees celsius and quickly manage the thermal shock in three minutes.
The integration of the glass tentacles on the ceramic base.
Research
The goal is to create lamps that integrate Art and Design. The method is transversal by integrating two techniques ceramics with Murano glass; Through the Deconstruction of art, a process of liberation from the traditional historical form begins to give way to a new syncretic language.
