About Nestled in the Green Hûs
Genesteld yn it Grien is in hûs lizzend yn Tajiri, Hiroshima, Japan. It terrein leit yn in typysk Japansk wenwyk, mei lytse bergen yn it noarden en de Seto Binnensee yn it suden. Iepen finsters bringe it lûd fan blêden en fûgels nei binnen. It terrein hat in oerflak fan 713,24 kwadratmeter.

- Unique Properties
- Wrapped by the surrounding nature, this house nestles closely within the environment in which it stands. Located in Tajiri-cho, Fukuyama, Japan, the neighboring buildings, apartments, and houses form this typical Japanese residential area. However, with small mountains stretching northward and the Seto Inland Sea to the south, one realizes this town is also surrounded by nature. Built on the plot of an former European-style vacation home, the house was demolished by the owner but the garden was tended to ever since. Like this town, the architecture creates a space wrapped delicately in nature.

- Design Challenge
- He thought about how he understood the environment, bringing nature inside and connecting it to the outside.
Then, spent a lot of time to make the inside space merge, blending in naturally like the space in nature. - Research
- Focusing on the concept of nestling the architecture within nature, He began thinking about the house and the garden from various perspectives and alongside the landscape architect, He developed the form of the house, the size and positioning of the windows over and over until reaching a singular, encompassing space and form.
- Inspiration
- To create a feeling of familiarity with nature, the position of the house was considered so that from inside, both the garden and mountains can be viewed from many directions. This meant that depending on the season, the shifting colours of the flowers and trees, the fluttering of birds could be enjoyed.
When they open the windows, the sound of swaying leaves and chirping birds flow inside. He hoped those things would become a normality, imagining a life experiencing nature with their five senses. - Project Duration
