About Spirit of Stillness Ynterieurûntwerp foar Apparteminten
Spirit of Stillness is in ynterieurûntwerp foar in appartemint fan 120 kante meter yn Taipei City, Taiwan. It ûntwerp kombinearret Eastlike filosofy mei in moderne estetyk om in rêstige romte te kreëarjen binnen in drokke stêd. In trijedielige oanpak jout gelikense wearde oan wurk, ûntspanning en rêst. De haadmuorre is makke fan resyklearre stienfragminten, en de keunstmuorre is ôfwurke mei Italjaanske miljeufreonlike ferve. In ferburgen metalen konstruksje stipet in Bodhisattva-skulptuer fan 30 kilogram. Natuerlik ljocht, enerzjysunige LED-ferljochting, waarmte-isolearjende materialen en loftsuverjende planten ferbetterje it komfort.

- Production Technology
- Selected materials include stone fragments for the primary wall to promote resource recycling and Italian eco-friendly paints for the art wall. Thermal insulating materials improve ventilation while hidden metal elements give support to the Bodhisattva sculpture. Throughout the production process, rigorous sustainability standards were followed to ensure environmental compatibility.
- Design Challenge
- The most significant challenge was balancing opposing elements such as Eastern and Western aesthetics, sustainability, and luxury, along with tradition and innovation. Regulatory constraints regarding sustainable materials presented logistical challenges, and maintaining aesthetic integrity required attention to every detail. Overcoming these challenges necessitated meticulous planning, extensive research, and the harmonization of various factors to achieve a cohesive final design.

- The inspiration for this project came from Eastern philosophy, particularly the equanimity expressed in Su Shi's "Ding Feng Bo." The design aims to encapsulate a contemplative worldview by seamlessly integrating artistry with function. Traditional elements are merged with modern aesthetics, creating a dialogue between the past and present, realized through meticulous research and planning.
- Project Duration
- This project commenced its design phase in March 2023 and concluded in August 2023. It is situated in Taipei City, Taiwan.
- Operation Flow
- The design offers an intuitive user experience, effectively balancing form and function. Maximized natural light reduces the need for artificial illumination. Air-purifying green plants ensure a consistent flow of fresh air, thus improving the functionality of the space.
