About Taisi Primary Function: Ynterieurûntwerp foar wenten

Book Text: Taisi is in partikuliere wenning yn 'e stêd Taoyuan, Taiwan. It hûs beslacht 83 fjouwerkante meter mei in plafondhichte fan 2,6 meter. Reinbeamhout, Taiwaneeske cypres, lotospleister, tatami en bakstiennen út 'e stêd Toki yn Japan foarmje in kalm en vintage ynterieur. It ûntwerp is ynspirearre troch it Taoyuan Martelershelchdom, in gebou dat Sineeske, Japanske en Taiwaneeske stilen kombinearret. In iepen sirkulaasjeplan en brede finsters litte it ljocht de tekstuer fan hout en muorren ûntbleatsje. De keuken kin nei ferlet iepene of sluten wurde. De wenning tsjinnet ek as plak foar saaklike gearkomsten en famyljebyienkomsten.

Design Challenge
The hostess hoped to have a functional kitchen that can be both opened and closed. Therefore, the kitchen is designed to create a vintage and peaceful atmosphere. The height of the house presented a great challenge for us because the structure forms several conflict zones; however, we ensured to maintain the space in a relaxed and comfortable way by constructing close to the floor. From design to completion, this original work reflected every detail that was communicated with the owners.
Research
An open traffic flow; we combined the design techniques of various materials to further uncover the texture of wood grain and wall through the light and shadow of the window, thereby providing space brightness and roominess.
Inspiration
This inspiration comes from Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine. Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine is situated on Hutou Mountain in Taoyuan City; it was completed in 1938 and was formerly the "Taoyuan Shinto Shrine" back during the Japanese colonial era.
The architectural style encompasses the old ways of the ancient Chinese Tang dynasty, Japanese style, and contemporary Taiwanese style, it breathes a serene atmosphere and symbolizes the martyrs' lofty sentiments and aspirations. which even more emphasizes its solemn and stately character.
Project Duration
The project started in Oct 2018, and finished in April 2019, located at Taoyuan City in Taiwan.
Operation Flow
In our vision, the place can serve as a meeting place for business and partying place for friends and family.
