About Folded 01 Iterstoel
Folded 01 is in iterstoel. De sitting en de rêchleuning binne foarme út ien inkele plaat rou aluminium, mei de hân bûgd. De foardele foarm jout de stoel stivens en in natuerlik bûchend effekt dat komfort tafoeget. De aluminiumplaat is monteare op in kleure stielen frame, dat in subtyl kleurdetail jout. It ûntwerp is ynspirearre troch it fâldzjen fan in fjouwerkant papieren notysje, dat stiif wurdt as it ienris fâlde is. De stoel mjit 450 mm yn breedte, 500 mm yn djipte en 800 mm yn hichte. It doel wie om werom te kearen nei de essinsje fan it foarwerp mei in minimaal uterlik.

- Unique Properties
- Folded 01 is the latest design by Erno Dierckx.By experimenting with production methods a dinningchair was born.
Erno Dierckx tries to challenge the way excitingchairs are constructed and goes back to the essence of the product. The object has a minimalistic yet sophisticated look. The chair consists out of honestand durable materials with a subtle color detail. - Dimensions & Packaging

- The chair consist out of a hand bended aluminum sheet. The raw material is combined with a coloured steel frame.
- Design Challenge
- The main challenge was te find a reliable folding technique with a minimal and beautiful appearance
- Inspiration
- The idea started while playing with a post-it note used to right down ideas. By folding the square sheet a rigid shape arises. This technique was used to construct a chair. The folded chair consists out of a raw aluminum sheet bend by hand and mounted on a colored steel frame.
- Project Duration
- Project started Februari 2018 in Antwerp Belgium and finished november 2019. First time exhibited Contemporary design fair Brussels.
- Operation Flow
- Folded 01 is a dinning chair made out of a single sheet raw aluminum. The folding technique gives the chair the needed comfort and has a natural bending effect
