About The Things Babhlaí Cruach Dhosmálta
Is sraith de bhabhla polagánach é The Things spreagtha ó fhealsúnacht le tuiscint ar Zen. An sraith babhla de 5 a fheictear mar 5 bhabhla éagsúla, ach tá siad go léir mar an gcéanna go deimhin, níl ach an barr oscailte ar eitleáin éagsúla ionas go mbeadh daoine a cheapann go bhfuil siad sin go hiomlán difriúil ó thaobh cruth. Tugann sé tuairim maidir le comhionannas agus meas i saol amháin. Léiríonn an tacar freisin na Cúig Eilimint mar Miotal, Adhmad, Uisce, Dóiteáin & Domhan. Tá gach ceann acu deartha mar pholagán le cruth neamhghnáthúil mar earraí boird, maisiúcháin tí agus dealbhóireacht ealaíne. Tá gach píosa den tacar snasta le briosc & bailchríoch scátháin.

- Design Challenge
- The creativity is totally beyond the production possibilities. Abnormal and polygonal design of bowls requires additional metalworking techniques that the defective rate is high.
- Research
- Exploring various metalworking production techniques were crucial to the success of the production of this project.
- Inspiration
- The design idea is from the philosophy of The Equality of Things by Zhuangzi who was the philosopher in the ancient Asia. Under ZEN, everything is the same, and people agree or deny other’s point of views are based on their own perspective subjectively. This inspires us to create the polygonal bowl set of 5 which are seen as 5 different bowls, but in fact the bowls are the same, just the open top is on the different planes. From a start to the end, it is the same thing, no matter of race & origin.
- Project Duration
- The project started in April 2020 in Hong Kong and finished in September 2020 in China.
- Operation Flow
- This set of bowls can be used as tableware, home decors and also modern blocks for meditation.
