About Grid Foirgneamh Coimpléasc
Is foirgneamh coimpléasc cúig urlár é atá lonnaithe os comhair stáisiún ar líne iarnróid Hankyu Kobe i Nishinomiya, an tSeapáin. Tá an láthair oscailte i dtreo beagnach gach treo, rud a ligeann don fhoirgneamh a bheith le feiceáil ó aon uillinn. Roghnaíodh struchtúr fráma coincréite chun íomhá struchtúrach láidir a sholáthar agus chun a chinntiú go bhféadfaí é a fheiceáil go héifeachtach ó aon uillinn. Feidhmíonn sé freisin mar fhoirgneamh fógraíochta. Le linn an lae, seasann an struchtúr amach, agus san oíche, cumaiscíonn an struchtúr leis an spéir agus feictear an fógra.

Behind the Design

Credits, team members and technical details provided by the designer.
- Unique Properties
- It's a five story compound building located in front of a station of Hankyu railway Kobe line in Nishinomiya, Japan. The site is open to almost all directions which enables the building to be seen from any angles. A concrete frame structure was chosen to give a strong structural image along with the toleration to be seen from any angle. It also serves as an advertisement building. In day time, structure stands out and at night, structure blends into the sky and advertisement appears.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- It's a small building with each floor area of 77.81㎡.
- Production Technology
- In order to conceal ads with grid frame, concrete rigid frame structure was chosen and this was an important factor for the design of this building. Certain depth in the structure was needed in order to picturerise ads. Presence was also important for the building since it stands in front of station square. Although it is a 5 story building, the architect wanted to camouflage the story to make the building look taller than it's actual hight. All of these factors led to the design.
- Inspiration
- Japan is filled with ads in the city and as an architect, it is hard to deny these ads for economical reasons. Therefore, instead of denying this situation, the ads were incorporated into the design of the building under certain rule. The rules were simple. Sandwich the ads with structure and no ads on the outside of the building. The inspiration of this advertisement building came from Ridley Scott's old movie, Blade Runner in 1982 where digital ads flow in the futuristic city of Japan.
- Operation Flow
- This building is for lease. Different tenant occupy each floor from 1st to 5th.
